curving free kicks?

i just got fifa 2003 for pc..... how do you spin your free kicks with a game pad? thanks

its not working :(

shift on my gamepad should be the "Z" button (which is the free style one right?) but its not working :(

jjoel, there is a ball in left down corner ok?
then, BEFORE kick you must press and hold shift butom and press arrow keys to choose the point on you will touch the ball. After that you press kick botom into the correct space of the bar. Theres ok?

yea i heard it. it works on the keyboard but not on my controller. the "Z" button shoudl be the exact same thing as the shift button, but it still doesn't move the curve thingy on the ball. any other suggestions? like i said the keyboard works but i can't get my controller to work that way.

Mine has the 2 analog sticks. So, the right analog stick will determine spin on the ball.
If yours has only 1 or none (analog sticks), i think you almost cant do much about the spin. Because I too couldn't put spin when I switched to Normal Mode (not using the analog sticks)...
