I have (almost) understood the structure of .trm files and I am able to modify the tournament rules. Unfortunately this is not enough: FIFA 2004 plays the new tournament but does not display it correctly, maybe it is necessary to work also on the gui. Anybody interested to work on this topic ? I can send the trm file structure.

Customizing tournaments

i don't think i have the computer skills for it but this is good news. Not only could create your own tournament but maybe you could fix the bugs in ECC, with teams playing other teams from the same country when its suppose to be the other way around.

I own FIFA 2004 only from one week and have not played too much (you can undertsand that I prefere to modify games rather then play). Do you mean that teams of the same Nation are ALWAYS in the same group (or maybe in two consecutinve groups) or this happens SOMETIME in a random way? In the first case I have an idea and can send you an euro.trm file to try, in the second no-way!

well in the ECC, most of the time, let's say your playing with Real Madrid. In the group stage you'll end up being paired up with Valencia and Barcelona then another team. No, don't worry about sending me the file, i don't play fifa now, since euro is out but i don't play that anymore cuz i got bored with it. but i'm sure other people would like to try.

well Rinaldo,i'm interested for the structure cause i made an 50 mb patch for the slovenian country league but the fixtures are the only thing that i haven't got any idea how to edit it so i would be really thankfull if you would send the structure here. Thanks

Fixed euro.trm
I have modified euro.trm in order to have groups with teams from different Nations and it works. I have also changed the Champion's league calendar in order to have the typical sequence of matches:
A-B C-D; D-A B-C; D-B A-C; B-D C-A; A-D C-B; B-A D-C;

It doesnt work
More details? Did you get a crash or simply you always get teams of the same nation in the same group? Did you play a new carrer or did you load a previous saved one ? Anything else could help.
I tested it in this way: saved a carrier before to start playing the Champion's League with groups showing the problem, modify the euro.trm, reload the carrier and it has worked but I cannot be sure that it works in every situation.
