D-pad Vs Anolog Stick

What is most used by most people playing pes/wes is it the d-pad better known as the directional pad. or is it the analogue stick. some call it the thumb stick. lets take a poll on this. I use the d-pad.

Hey are there any good drivers for the xbox 360 controller i got one for use on my pc and xbox 360 but when i play it on the pc the RT and LT are on the same axis. so I cant switch player when I'm using the RT to run i'm sure you know what I mean using mcrosoft default drivers help me out.

To each his own but the d-pad is more precise. The game only has 8 degrees of movement and you moderate your speed with R1 and R2 so the benefits of a 360 analog stick are not used at all. All of the controls in the game are on/off so analog is not needed and just feels weird to me.

you have very bad analog stick if you told us tha dpad is better

With good analog stick you can make different running movements that with dpad are impossible!!! also the speed of run can be modified with analag stick...but if you want play with dpad because your analog stick are not good, change your gamepad!!! :fool:

you must have a different game, since the movement is only 8 directions and digital i find it particular that you can make different moves with an analogue stick :fool:

Yes the game only has 8 directions of movement, which is asinine for any console video game by todays standards; this is something I find lazy by Konami. Analog sticks provide much much more than just full 360 degree movement. If the next-gen PES or FIFA 07 do not have full analog control, I will be pissed. Anyways, I still don't understand how people use the D-pad. Doesnt it hurt your thumb? It does mine........

So, I think I'm particular...
I've found that you can curve much more whit analog, but I can't play with anything else than D-Pad.
So I have reversed D-Pad and Analog in the config panel of the game and I play with D-Pad...and manage to curve like with analog!!!!!!!

Yes the game only supports 8 direction I use the d-pad but im getting use to playing with the analogue stick now. I find the analogue you can angle yourself better for shooting at the goal. but the draw back with analogue is that since the game only uses 8 direction of movement. you will make turns with the analogue stick that the game just dont have and you can miss your target. what I have also found out is that most ea sport game supports the use of the analogue stick to move , like i played fifa and found out that fifa supports more that just 8 direction of movement and WE/PES is only 8 direction that why more people use the D-PAD playing it, time for pes/we to support more than just 8 direction to move.

Yes, if you counted.............it took me exactly eight 45 degree turns to make a 360 in FIFA using an analog stick.

I call easports and they also told me they are more than 8 direction in movement and this was with fifa 2004 and 2005 I havent ask them about FIFA WC 2006
