pefan;2256964 said:Whos that??? I've seen comments like this before. You aint heard the one where a Argentinian said there 1000's of players better than Beckham. And the commentator asked where are they?? I'll admit the english media glorify him. So what. Brazilians glorify robinho and players like that. These are all good players.
Beckham was and is still one of the best strikers of the ball. Hes ability is there for everyone to see. England being the most famous country in the world any player playing in the national team is going to be glorified. And Becks has been on of the main players. The English Premier League is the most watched league of any sport in the world. More than American Football, Baseball you name it. It earns way more money than any sport being watched in the whole world. There are more people watching this than there are watchin the superbowl. The fact of the matter is that Becks played in England. One of the reasons hes a famous player. Even if he didnt go to Madrid it wouldnt have made much of a difference but it did help.

Anyway, money-grabbing bastard. If he would really love the game he would've gone to some other european club.

Hendrik;2256986 said:MLS will pay him about $400,000 per year, that's hardly a waste of money for a superstar.
pede54;2257053 said:No. His career nosedived when Fattie Furguson realised that Beckham was more popular than him and sacked him.
I just love the way "so called" Man U fans slag him off. Do you actually realise all that he did for your poxy club. Not just his contribution to those trophy's that you like to boast about, but financially too? Jealous tossers.
pasion1;2257068 said::funny: oh yeah.....you´re the guy i owned 1 month ago (wow.....i must have really done some damage for u to have a grudge over a completely unrelated topic)
just let it go man........................let it go.

i hope him going to the us will help make soccer (as they call it there) more popular, i think its a good move not just for la galaxy but for soccer as a whole in the states.
