Demo Impressions

Hi all,

What are your thoughts on the demo for those who have played it?

Personally I love it, but this dribbling thing is taking some getting used to, particularly in defence.

FIFA 12 = EXCELLENT For the defence system it's a little harder but reminds me the one of FIFA 2002

Demo is not bad, maybe pass speed is a little too slow and a few player animations seem too robotic, but otherwise it's playable.

i think that "player animations seem too robotic" part ruins the gameplay in my opinion (

Passing and shooting system is not good,
FIFA 11 is better

gameplay is awesome guys ... defending is how it should be > HARD
and theidea of oppenet goin passed my defenders with a skill or a feint ,,, totaly surprised me .. and adding handballs option is really really the best thing ever ! + scene's before/after/during match ,, dribbling , i got used to it already

I like new defending system. It's harder, but much realistic to me.
You can now change nets into triangle, yea, along side with net tension.
Impact engine is awesome, but it have bugs. Visually it looks great.
Everything is somehow "heavy", so I don't like that much, but overally it's really awesome. I'll get used to it. Now just to deal with lags so I can experience FIFA 12 in it best.

Yeah the animations seem too forced, less fluid, when you are in control of a player it feels you need to sort of "drag" his body around the pitch in order for him to move, it sucks big time, fifa 11 was way better in this aspect, i don´t know if the impact engine has something to do with this. The tactical defense system is great, it makes you think in order to score and avoid being defeated.

i never mind'd animations , @Waldo i just had a match barca vs arsenal ,, its freakin hard to get possession !! ... well i cant put tactics just the basic formations , but its really great , cant wait for full version

The tackling system is $h!t .I can' do one single tackle.Passes are to slow and players feel very heavy.Penalties are impossible to save.The impact engine is buggy.AI is good ,I play against barca on legendary and always loose,just because of the crappy tackling system.
I like fifa 11 more.

The tackling system is way good, harder, honestly the pression button was a bit stupid, Penaltys are harder, which is good, last years we're always so easy.
Probably this is the best football game ever.

How does that ruin gameplay of all things? It does affect the visual experience from the game, but certainly not gameplay.

Tweaking the rna file sounds like a good idea to improve gameplay a little bit.

its the best out of any fifa, i have tweaked the gks & ball physics & its lovely.
defending is how it always should have been, you must make the tackle, you are finally required to do everything instead of controlling 1 player & the cpu doing the rest.

the close dribbling is nice, ive got it down already & am starting to do tricks out of it.
seeing malbuena do tricks on me is noce too, watched him burned on a 360.

all in all i am actually satisfied w/ ea eventhough its only the demo, hopefully the full release will do the same.

i liked the demo, fifa 11 seems beta of fifa 12. I dont liked the passes system it seems that the ball is flat. But handball, nets like ps3 are nice and cpu have more A.I than fifa11

Totaly agree!!
Never forget that it is a video game
Defence is more challenging, pressing like a bull was a $h**.
If the lags issue is fixed in final version, it will be the best Football game ever

na im just a mod this year, im not releasing anything this year.
im sure hybrid will be released every other week.
