Derbies

I think derby matches should deserve better attention from the EA people. I mean, when I play a derby it's the same than facing a 3rd division team.

The supporters should act differently, the players too and even the referees.

Derbies should be respected (from Solomon Islands - Fiji to Brasil - Argentina). It's boring to play Brazil - Argentina with the same atmosphere than England - Cook Islands for example.

I know that game atmosphere will be improved, but I don't think they thought about doing something different for derbies.

Just to make it clear: I used national teams, but of course it includes club teams.

Wouldn't you like the atmosphere to be different when you play Barcelona - Real Madrid, Manchester United - Arsenal, Milan - Internazionale, etc?

YES!

It would be much more fun and realistic.
Also that the Stadiums is not full on friendly between two teams that isn't so "popular", like, Bernabeu would never be full if Real Madrid played against Bristol.

yeah I agree .............

EA neglects this faction of the game....

Konami also neglects this.......

I want to see a more charged atmosphere for Panathinaikos-Olympiakos games.....

And yet with Madden 2004, you must earn your crowds, and if its a blowout, crowds - even home crowds - leave early; in MPV Baseball 2004, they factor crowd attendacne along the lines ofthe significance of the matchup...

so EA does know how to begin to approach this.

Konami need to take the crowd/attendance controls they give you in exhibition and make it alittle more dynamic in league and ML play...

they are working on being able to show the importance of the game, in that one video interviewing danny issac, but that was just with the reactions to calls made by the referee. Hopefully they will do something with the crowd too.

danny issac is a liar! i believed most of his crap for 2004, and... WOW! Super-Crap!!! Finally, i took the decision and changed to the PES side... if Fifa really wants to recover the lost gamers... they really need to get something big, and, judging ONLY by the videos, it seems as crappy as ever... fake movements, photoreal though cartonish faces, CRAP gameplay, and tons of licences that instead of serving to create supper-accurate teams (a lot of you have said henry speeds the same as a 3rd division player... why??? if they can accurately recreate henry)... I don't want 45,000 players, instead, a few of 'em but that i can see the gameplay in their feet...

i used to love fifa, but not anymore!!!

They even have a similar concept in NCAA Football. They have the rivalry games, such as the Apple Cup between the University of Washington (my school) and Washington State University (a bunch of drunken bums). So it's puzzling they didn't think of it for FIFA.

I'd like to see Atlético Paranaense v Coritiba.

Partizan v Crvena Zvezda would be nice too.
