In the Denmark - Sweden Euro 2008 qualifier, Sweden were awarded a 3-0 win for a Danish fan getting on the park and trying to attack the ref in the 89th minute.

All I'm interested in is that the punishments are consistent ;)

In fairness to Milan, they do not appear to be trying to take the result away from Celtic.
Aye, definitely. Credit to Milan for keeping things low key and not raising alarm bells all over the place.

No, no credit to Milan. Shouldn't give them credit just because they haven't been dicks about it. I've just read that the fan has been banned from all Celtic matches home and away, it should be Dida banned from the game altogether, deceitful ******* **** earning thousands a week.

How embarrassing on Dida's part. seriously the man is twice the size of the dude that ran up to him all happy and ****. and tries to chase him and then stops and falls to the ground. WTF do you call that? how sad on his part. I'm glad not all brazilians are like that.

If i was that fan i would of went right to Dida and laughed at his face while he is in the floor for the horrible acting.

Gandini: Dida okay for Sunday

Milan sporting director Umberto Gandini has told Sky Sports News that he expects Dida to be fit for the game against Lazio.

I couldn't stop laughing when i heard that.(H)

The guy got banned for life even for away matches, which is a good thing, now these dopes will think twice before doing that. Even though Dida should get a fine, i don't think it should be worth a suspension, maybe 2 or 3 matches would do.

The incident is really in two stages. One is the invasion of the fan into the playing area, not only that but in a position where he could make contact with a player (what if he had a weapon etc) Celtic are responsible for putting that match on and stewarding etc so they should be punished - A fine is a fair decision.

Two is obviously the deliberate attempt of Dida to deceive the officials by that pathetic display - on a par with Rivaldo in WC2002. FIFA have resolved to make examples of players for "simulation" and whilst not in the game situation, this display must be dealt with. What his motives were, be it trying to get the match voided or just a moment of stupididty is irrelevant.

Also what's this talk of a girl on the pitch? If that's two invasions then Celtic will probably be hit harder. Very good move by the club to ban the oik for life though.

I hadn't even thought of that! Poor UEFA, no matter what they do, they're total dicks. (H)

The only thing consistent about FIFA and UEFA is their inconsistency. All governing bodies are the same in football, be it the FA or even FIFA.

There's a significant difference though in that the referee saw the incident in the Denmark v Sweden match (because he was at the centre of it) and abandoned the match.

The referee did not see the incident in the Celtic v AC Milan match and did not abandon it.

He was banned cause of the act of running onto the field and potentially being a threat to players, since the fact that he made contact with him.

In this case it doesn't matter if Dida was injured or not.

But I dont know what Dida was thinking, I'm sure the embarrassment for him is punishment enough.

He obviously thought, "Wait, if I fall on the floor like the fan hurt me, there is a good chance that UEFA will award us the win instead of Celtic."

I would hope UEFA do not do that, but Celtic will be in for some punishment. Probably a game behind locked doors and a fine I should think.

This moron of a fan will be banned from the ground for life I should think, because Celtic have been working hard to get the fans to adhere to the stadium rules. They have been published on the Celtic website for all to see, so the dick has no excuse.

Definately a move from the Rivaldo book of dirty tricks though. Pathetic.

Clearly one of the best posts in this thread. i fully agree with you mate.

Outrageous. Half an hour after being hit he decides to get brazilian mode on and dive. He was hit on the neck, yet he holds his head down, not his neck. Then he proceeds to be stretched off the pitch, still holding his head.

My goodness man, my goodness, looks like he didnt have enough after allowing two easy goals any half decent keeper would've avoided.

Dida playacting :kader:

No wait...he wasnt playacting...heck that wasnt even "acting"...it was just plain moronic behaviour from a retarded dick (N)

I wonder how Dida would react if he gets tackled in the nuts :chew:

He would probably go to the ermergency room and then demand the doctor working on a heart transplant come look at his very serious ailment.

Point taken. I'm surprised the guy hasn't been found to be Lithuanian to be honest with you

Dida should just retire and go live somewhere where no one knows about football and who he is... like the USA.

What an absolute retard!
