I play world class mode with world class keeper (I always try the hardest mode). I will probably try to unlock legendary if i get too good at the game.
I don't like using the manual crossing and through balls because ive found then too difficult - especially with a keyboard because i can't seem to direction them diagonally - these would probably be best done using a controller. Passing is also sometimes quite frustrating with a keyboard - a lot of the times i see a great opportunity but when i try to pass to the player running through the middle and towards open space the pass ends up going to a player that's marked.
I also created my own team which is 3 stars with an average skill rating of 60 along with Scott McDonald and Lucas Neill.
Its no fun playing as 4+ star teams as there is no challenge - i beat man. united using arsenal the first time without really trying.
The fun comes when i beat a top team using my 3 star team after playing some very good football.
I reckon using the world class keeper is quite realistic most of the time. I just beat liverpool 2-1 with my 3 star team using a 4-5-1 formation and a lot of persistence. Torres scored against us first on the 33rd minute but then after warding off wave after wave of attacks (ive pretty much mastered defending) i managed to score twice in the 86th and 89th minutes with McDonald and David Carney through liverpool's really tightly packed defence - both from crosses.
The real frustration comes when i lose to a team worse than me - like losing to Derby County 1-0. I guess they made the teams' attitudes more realistic - so worse team's try harder against better opponents.
Now the wc goal keeper i reckon is kind of unrealistic because when i played an international against germany - they had a really easy defence to get past - i created about twenty chances with through balls where i had a one-on-one situation with a lone striker but Lehmann was just too good - and whenever i tried to direct the ball it goes wide (whereas in training it goes in off the post) - must be the pressure or something.
