Well I'm still struggling in D2 with Fulham, Benfica, and Auxerre. For some reason, those teams all give me fits.

So, LuckyStrike, the switching thing works pretty well then? I messed around with it a bit in my first (experimental) ML, but have yet to try it in my "official" ML.

I won 2-0 last night on 3 stars, and that's my best win so far. That was with a mostly default team + a few youth players, so I'm hoping that once I get some decent players the wins will keep coming.

I never have problems against the Arsenal or any of the so called 'big guns',it's teams like Blackburn i struggle against ,can nearly always be certain that they will score past me with their only shot.
Buggers!

Well i spose everyone has a bogey team!

Yer BamaToon it's pretty cool. You will notice your "skill" improving when you aquire better players though. All of a sudden those long strikes are going in and you defenders are beating the other team on those headers in front of your goal.

My main problem was scoring. So, as somebody suggested, I went with 3 strikers:

Saha - A. Cole - Kezman

Okocha

Morfeo Malkhadavia

I know my spelling sucks.

Anyway, I have been getting a lot more chances and goals like this.

Well, I think I'll have to try that then when I get home.

I'm still having trouble scoring goals. The defense is pretty solid now, but I struggle with putting the ball in the net. That may be because I have two youth forwards that are still developing, but I'm hoping that once they improve, I'll start scoring some goals, and those 0-0 and 1-1 draws can turn into wins.

Speaking of controllers, I was really frustrated one day and totally destroyed one of mine. Just picked it up near the controller end of the cord and smashed it repeatedly into the ground about maybe ten times. It didn't like it and now sits all broken in a box somewhere ....

hrmm .. I might have issues .. ;)

Trust me, it's not just you. I've always thought that these games should come with a voucher for a free controller, since at some point you'll be robbed so bad that you'll just HAVE to smash the damn thing. I've never gone so far as to break one, but the one I use has loose buttons and tumbsticks from repeated throwings on the floor and against objects.

Anyway, I started doing the "2.5 star" level as suggested by LuckyStrike, and it works pretty well. I still lost a few games at home, but actually won enough on the road to get promoted to Div. 1. Also finished with the top scorer and won the D2 cup. It's much more entertaining than getting continually jobbed at 3 stars even when you're playing at home.

You must be kiddin. I can win 4 or 5-0 on them levels. You get so much time and space on the ball on them levels.

Funnily enough, I find 5 stars easier than 4 stars. *shrug*
