Well, I have been playing PES6 for two weeks now. I must say I am satisfied. It may not be a huge improvement, but it IS slightly better than the last Edition!

1) I think the shooting is BETTER, not worse! Using the R2-buttom while you are shooting makes the shot more precise. Ok, it is true that scoring IS a little more difficult now maybe, but this is just more realistic. In real football for every five shots on goal, you normally score only one time...

2) the Referees are a lot better, they don´t stop the play just for some very very slight tackle. Now they tend to let you play on, and only whistle when it is absolutely necessary. This makes the Rhytm of the game much more fluid. Not as last year where they gave a free kick just if you LOOKED at the other player!

3) The pace of the game is a little bit slower, and I find it good, so it lookes more like real football and not like a flipper game....

4) I like the possibility to take a fast free kick, even that it is not always and advantage....(yesterday I conceeded a goal, when my player took a very fast free kick, but passing the ball to an opponent, who scored...)

dude for me the best pes is pes 5, this is the perfect pes for me, i still play 2day, i bought pes6 but i didnt like it too much, it seems to easy to dribble and run with the ball, to me and every1 i speak to that plays pes every1 perfers pes5, idk i just hope in the next pes they make dribblng and running with the ball alot more difficult, cuz it really looks like they made pes6 easy to play with the world cup and all and more attraction of gamers so i believe they made it easy to play. cheers!

Well, I too find PES6 easier than PES5. On PES5 it took me several months to win the Master League on three stars. But after two weeks of PES6 (on three stars) I have almost already won the Master League (I am 1th with 10 points to the second after 15 games, so I am sure that I will win...)

I think I will have to play on four or five stars next season..(like some of your phenomenal guys here ..)

that is the cycle for me too.

I thought PES3 was better then PES4, until i got used to it & realised pes4 was actually better.

I thought PES4 was better then PES5, until i got used to it & realised pes5 was actually better.

I thought PES5 was better then PES6, until i got used to it & realised pes6 IS actually better................


Just keep playing it, get into the 'feel of it' and it will all start to feel very natural, flowing, exciting... took me about 2 weeks to get PES5 out of my system and start to feel 'right' with Pes6. Put your self through that period of pain - it's worth it!

Also - people should stop saying 'it's slower' or 'its faster' than previous versions - it's as fast or slow as you want it to be! if you want to play fast ping pong football, you can. If you want to play slow football you can.

I agree, I think that every edition has been better than the last one. Pes 6 is better than Pes 5, Pes 5 was better than Pes 4, Pes 4 was better than Pes 3..and so on...

Try to play a couple of matches let´s say on Pes 2 and I think everybody here will agree that the game HAS actually improved a lot

Nah, PES 6 is too arcadey and dumbed down.

Horrendously easy to score.

Though I do like some of the new features.

what realllyyy pisses me off is defending. The CPU just runs circles around me and I have NO idea as to how to stop him. Even if he bumps into me, my player just gets pushed away. The players that the CPU controls from my team NEVER mark properly and just move away if the ball is near them...it's just retarded, it's like I'm playing 1 vs 11

I too found defending more difficult during the first few games. But now I am in my 3th season and I have only conceeded 8 goals in the first 15 games (ok, I only play on regular..). So maybe you just have to get used to the changes.

Some advices:

1) do not use the slide-tackle too much, the ref´s tend to be very harsh with the cards!

2) timing is important. If you press X (easy tackle) just a splitsecond to early or to late, the opponent will just run around you...I think timing is mostly a question of practise, the more you play the bether you know when to tackle...

3) this year, for the first time really..., you notice the difference between a good and a bad defender. In other editions, even if you played with some crap defender, you could still get a lot of clean sheets. Now playing with Juventus, the first two seasons with Legrottaglie-Boumsong defending was very hard. But now in the third season I have bought Cannavaro and Daniel Agger and I conceed a lot fewer gols. So maybe you shold just buy some new defenders...

Maybe you are just too good?

Maybe you should just play online...and you will find scoring more difficult

(but I wonder, how do you know that Pes6 is to easy, if you only play online? I mean: have you ever tried playing on five stars against the cp?)

Too easy to score against humans. I know I wasn't just playing lame opponents either, because some had good records. Also, I played against my friends, who are decent.

Every time I would run in a straight line towards the box, I'd just aim for the far post and it would go in EVERY SINGLE TIME.

My friends were arguing in favour of PES 6 at first, but now all of them have returned it to the shop and gone back to PES 5.
