Do gamepads work in Football-Fusion?

Maybe it's discussed somewhere on this board allready, but I'm at work and don't have the time to scroll through all the pages, so forgive me......
Just a short question: While playing the TCM demo I found out that I could NOT use my gamepad when playing "football-fusion", only the keyboard. Does anyone know if it's the same with the real-game, as I'd like to know before I blow E 50,00.
