Do Team updates work online ?

Can someone tell me.
You know the team roster updates (fifa 2004) available on this site, when you apply them, do they work in the online games or do your teams just default back to the original teams ?

And, if it doesnt work, has anyone heard anything about a possible patch etc that may be in the pipeline to make it work ?

They don't. They only work offline, online it will just use the normal 'stock' rosters.
