do you really think eusebio would have had the same achievements if he had played today? in my opinion he would've been just another fast, physically strong striker along the lines of cissé,dindane etc.
the figo during the years 1998-2001 was probably one of the best 3 players I've ever seen...

neither pelé, maradona, platini, chalana would be that good today.

there's no point on making the comparison from today's football from the old football.

what matters is that at that time, he could put anyone in his pocket, and at this time, Figo was an absolutely fantastic player, but he didn't stand out so much as Eusébio in his time.

yeah, but still if you leave the time they played in out of the issue, figo is the superior player...

i honestly can't tell much as i didn't actually saw Eusébio playing, but from the videos i saw the man was a far superior player than Figo,

not thecnically maybe (still very good), but the phisical was outstanding, the shot was out of this world.

of course that due to how football is studied today he hadn't the positional and tactical sense that every player have nowadays, and because of that he would have probably been lost on field if you put him playing, but apart from that, that is a characteristic that is achieved because of the current football era, he was simply stunning! and his stats speak for himself.

Smooth, maybe the reason figo was as good is because of the training and better technologys we have now, then way back when eusebio played? Just a thought considering right now you can make a crappy player into a good player by using the high tech training facilities and managers etc.

Borgetti Played in that Club after the WC, and he was pretty unhappy although he was making tons of money he decided not to end his contract there and returned to Mexico with less money and not regular football. I wonder why?
