I own a Mazda 696 (or a 969?). I know it's a 3 digit number. I'm not sure the year, but it's basically a piece of **** and not worthy of being photographed. It has close to 300k miles.

Just bought a Fiat Punto 55 SX 1.1 (11-1997). Only has 88291km (about 53k miles) on the counter.

This is not mine, but it has the same registration date.

Will be getting my dad's 2007 Land Cruiser 3.0 D-4D (VIP equiped, full option) in almost 2 years' time. 173hp, automatic gearbox. :S

Not really a fan of 4WDs, but they're magnets on wheels. :p

Though I can chose between that and a 2005 Corolla D4D, 114hp, also full-option.

I absolutely love the Corolla, been learning to drive that for a few months now and I've always liked the model, plus it's faster, has a sporty look (hatchbacks (Y)) and it will be less used than the Land Cruiser, even though it's older (my mom drives this one :().

Or eventually get a new car. :)

smoove, a piece of advice?

Learning to drive at 15? Christ, it's 18 in France (17 in UK) which meant I didn't start driving until I was 18.

I'm driving a Rover 200 at the moment. I bought it with about 32,000 miles on the clock which is a nice low mileage for a car of its age, and I've probably done about 1500 miles in it so far. It's pretty nippy got a 1.4l 16V engine, very fun to drive and it always gives me great pleasure to overtake those MG ZR's (the sporty version of my car) as they are in fact slower than my car, and more expensive. I was originally looking at cars like Puntos / Fiestas / Corsas but I stumbled upon this Rover at a great price, in great condition, and with things like 5 doors / power steering that weren't on the models of the same price in the other car ranges. Plus this was cheaper to insure, even though it's a much higher insurance group. (for UK people, the Corsas etc that I was looking at were group 4, and this is a group 9 car, but it's still cheaper to insure)

Here's a couple of pics from just after I bought it in April: (I know, I live in the middle of nowhere, don't remind me about it)

Looks nice Dave. (Y)

Learning as in unofficial learning. Driving on small roads from the suburbs and stuff like that. :p

I live somewhere in the middle of nowhere too :(. Around 3km far away from the city.

I did the same with my uncle's tractor. (H) It's quite easy to drive one, but it's not very comfortable. Who cares? It's big. (H)

you're pretty spoiled for a gypsy, that's for sure ... :(

I hate the Land Cruiser to be honest, i mean 173hp on a 3.0 motor is pretty bad, considering it's weight and body it's probably a sleeper.

I like the Corolla, it's pretty economical with something around 6l diesel/100km. I drove one about a year ago and I really didn't think it was a diesel, very comfty and great running smoothness, the interior is solid and well designed,too...

If you are going to get a new car it depends on what exactly you want.
I'm currently thinking about selling my Audi for 18-20k and getting one of these 2000 Benz SL 350 for 22-25k if only the taxes and the gas wasn't so expensive. :nape:

Well I'd definetly want a hatchback. I know you're not into Asian cars but what do you think about the European Honda Civic? I know Hondas have got great engines but I don't know much about the car in comfort terms and in driving experience. Design's great though. (Y)

Though I've always liked this one aswell

Meh.. plenty of models to come out in 1 year and 1/2.

Edit: And the Land Cruiser is a sleeper, and the auto gearbox makes that even crappier.
