Giving up then... yes, that's one option and choice.
I'll tell you my observation, not trying to be cruel, just honest: each time someone offers you some editing tips, you come back with another complaint about the game, or with a blow-off excuse comment like,
"Well obviously there is an easy way around it..."
I know for sure you didn't try even half the edits I suggested. I said to lower ratings like Reaction, Positioning and Interception to 1. I also said to assign the two dribbling traits to attackers. Did you do that, do you even know those trait codes? The answer is no obviously. You want a quick fix, that's really the problem here at this point and why you're fed up. Your expectations are too high. And you're unwilling to do what's necessary to try and fix the game, your
"no solution to it other than tweaking a shit ton of stuffs" comment is evidence of that. For you, it's a ton of work, it's too much work. For me, it's a fun way to spend a few hours, tweaking all that stuff. That's the difference.
I just finished a game. Several times in the game I blasted by CPU defenders and walked right around them, left them standing there watching as I breezed past. Why? Two reasons mostly: I play on a lower difficulty level, and I lowered players ratings like Reaction, Positioning and Interception way way way down. CPU defenders in my game are no longer super-human. It's really that easy and uncomplicated.
EDIT: Just finished another game. Wish I had recording software. Dribbled near the CPU box and took on three CPU defenders, all of whom either missed the tackle or tapped at the ball but couldn't win the ball away cleanly. I ended up spinning around the third defender and getting a cross into the box. Very gratifying knowing my edits do work and that I don't have to give up on this game
Seriously though, it was a great great game, every game of FIFA 18 I play is just so satisfying. Slow. Sim. Beautiful. (Thanks in large part as well to Fidel's Pro Cam mod -- FANTASTIC! -- and his adaptive difficulty patch.)
