Does EA care?

I think EA doesn't care if the game is good or not. They don't care about this forum and they don't care about us.And i think they don't know anything about football or soccer or how the hell they are calling it.
God,all you have to do is browse this forum and you'll know what a football game should be all about.
The game is rushet out because they only care about the money. All of us are saving money for this time of the year when most of the games come out and they know it.So they don't care if the game is ready or not. They will ship it anyway because there's allways someone here who will fix the gameplay or the player stats or whatever.By making the game very easy to be edited EA uses us to make they're game the way it should be in the first place.(LAZY Co*k SU**ers)
Last year they had kits for each keeper (stolen idea from someone at FFT I think) and they've asked Chau to fix they're stupid Creation Center. This year i was expecting FIFA Coach and Boot Revolution. But that woud have been too much and they knew it.
I want to see that EA reads this forum and I want to see that they put into FIFA as much work as they put in Madden NFL ,NBA...
(For example I belive you all agree with me that the player's bodies in FIFA look like s**t.Imagine how FIFA would look if the player's bodies would be like the ones in NBA.And all they have to do is to add shinpads).
I really want to hear EA's official position about the criticism we bring to the game (if they have one). But most likely they will ignore us as allways.

Until then I will have my FIFA only as a COPY (I hope you won't ban me)

And I also think they should hire most of the patch makers around here or at least give them a free copy of the game because FIFA is still alive thanks to them.

Sadly this is true. EA is the biggest game company and they let it get to thier heads. EA games are like pop music...Sexy pakage, tons of pub, tons of ads, shallow as sh*t content wrapped in a flashy display, and then they toss it in a blender and re-package it for next year's version.

FIFA games arent the only games that prove this either.

totally agree, and if they found any great game they will make a huge contract on the game comapny. Forcing them to make lower quality expansion (even the mods from the community is better !) BF 1942 is an example.

spot on.

I wanted a great football game moe than anyone, this aint it.

pes will give a realistic game, but once you have seen fifas graphics you feel it is a bit cartoony.

once played pes's gameplay, you know fifa is a jerky, scripted game for under 16's.

a cynic would argue that it is not in EA's interests to design the perfect game, cos we wouldn't buy any others!

thats not true at all, look at all the stuff they added?? Last yea, everyone was crying about the gameplay, and the scripting now you people are crying again.:kader: I dont understand what you people want from EA...THE GAME HAS BEEN OUT FOR LESS THAN A WEEK!! are you people stupid or stupid?? give it a chance, this game is 100% better than fifa2003.

It is much better. This game is as real a simulation of football that you'll find on the market. For some reason, pes doesn't appeal to me as a sim. It's so easy to do bikes and sissors that it reminds me somewhat of fifa 2001. I'm just saying, not trying to be offensive.

Guys guys guys, EA really does care about their game, in fact that EA doesn't know anything about soccer. I mean why wouldn't they care about their own game, they make $$$ from this game, they have to build a soccer game thats better than Konami so they can compete and stay at the top, I mean alot of things improved this year but since they are lack of knowledge on real footie game, the game itself has alot of problems and flaws. This is what I have thought of EA when I have played fifa 2004.

Who says it is better? Look at the game.. No remapping of keyboards.. No changing of detail level.. No this..No that.. The list goes on and on and on.. What the hell is this? I wasted my money on the game thinking it would be very good.. !!!!

Timeout everybody. FIFA comes out every late October-early November, with the change in the engine that runs the game, time is the crucial part for the success of games. If EA Sports would put out a game every other year, then the game would be 10 times better. Unfortunately, us the consumers get bored with the current game quickly and ask for another game pronto. EA Sports is at a crossroads to meet the demands of the consumer while providing the most complete game possible. Changing program requirements means different programming techniques must be used which is a great task considering that technology is ever-changing and the game code is usually brand new for each game, especially for the A.I., which is the hardest part of software programming.

EA Sports is a business entity that makes money, and they will give a little while the consumer will take a little from the ideal program. I am sure that EA Sports would love to have 4 times the amount of resources to put in the game, but the financial feasibility is not there. One could say that EA Sports could ask us modders to help with the game, but the competitive advantage of EA Sports is diminished by giving out the source code to non-EA Sports employees.

We would all love a great game, but until the gaming industry is beyond the money (consider the cost for the licenses alone), the consumers and EA Sports must compromise on a product, if we hate it, they will fix it with the available resources that they have.

In the end, we have the right to complain about a bad product, but patching the game costs money and resources that are needed for next years version that the gaming industry is flawed (especially the sports sector) because we want the best and we are only willing to pay so much for a game, and like I said before, EA Sports is in the business to make money, buy their product, or don't, EA Sports is just doing their job.

I hope that I have not offended anybody, but I just want to point out what the fact is, you can all make your personal opinions known to the would, but welcome to the real world. I'd hate to dissapoint you all, but life is not fair.

So are you saying that EA sports does not have enough money to make a patch? HMMM... lets see, EVERY OTHER GAME FROM EA GETS A PATCH!!!!

Last year the shots are too fast, but this year it's even worse. That shots are faster, and more accurate.

The so called "baggin`" is called "customer feedback" in marketing . . . This customer spent his money for an inferior rushed product which didn`t meet his standard quality expectation, this customer simply stated his dissatisfaction . . . This customer probably spent his own money or salary for this game, this customer probably ain`t some 10 year old fanboy who has his rich parents spent money for the game and whine in this forum for a kit or patch over and over again and flamin` anyone who disagree with `em. This customer deserve every right to state his dissatisfaction and critism and noone can tell him to **** off just because of that . . .

The problem with fifa 2004 its the GUI , inside the program code is built everything.

I mean , with a good GUI ( graphical user interface ) you will be able to change almost anything in the game.

This is the case where using the .ini's you can change anything, detail level, speed....etc..

Just its a shame the console guys cant do this , better get a PC

So a hurray for the guy that coded FIFA 2004 , and a boooooooo for the guy at EA that was in charge of the menu system, i dont see why they couldnt create a wide customizable menu when the variables to change the settings exists since FIFA 2001 lol ( i know because have edited most fifa versions, the have the same basis )

This happens lately with development groups , there are guys ( i know some ) that are amazing with their work, but others dont have the vision and the clear objetives to do it ( and its sad because its not nice saying to your partner that he suck ) ......

About the Direct IP feature for them it takes like 4 minutes to add it to the game, for me takes maybe one week because i dont know exactly how they designed it but its possible to add direct ip connection.

So you might say " Dont fix that or else because EA should do it " but face it , EA wont move a finger!

Yep at this step fifa 2004 wont show the ball at all , it will say "its a goal" but maybe they can add fire to the ball or some kind of explosion WOW i would love it!!!! ****being sarcastic**** :nape:

Its like if all people involved in FIFA 2004 development had 10 years old lol it has everything that a 10 year old child will want on a game and doesnt has the features that a 5 year old wont be able to configure, thats why they disabled control config , game speed, etc.... so the little child dont get confused at the settings?

Who can give another reason? bah :f***:

You can't save replays, players have the wrong names, some teams have the wrong names, some black players have white skin, players shoot with their wrong foot, gameplay is bad, graphics are worse than 2003...
If this is your idea of a good game then go and live in EA's HQ because you don't know what football games are all about.:kader:
