Yes, a gamespad would make passing easier. When I said the gameplay was crap I meant that even if I could pass perfectly it would still be crap.

When the computer gets the ball in defence and does 5 passes in their own third, I can't help but notice how unrealistic it is. And whatmakes it even worse is that if you let the computer get into the same defensive position with the ball they will ALWAYS do the stupid defensive passing.

You should set up a game with the computer playing against itself and then turn your TV on and compare it with real soccer. If you can't notice the difference you should switch to hockey games because EA does them much better.

No. its not just about passing. If you have a analog controller, you will have better controll for the way you dribling, the way you heading, passing and shooting, and better controll for the way you moving. I used to play FIFA 99 with keyboard and had bad experience with that. sometimes when we have to move faster, like when we going foward and need to turn back quickly its hard to do with keyboard. after i buy a digital gamepad i can more enjoy the game. and after i buy analog contoller and play FIFA2002, the controll is amazing.

The problem with gameplay is not about player controls, but about the COMPUTERS AI. Yes, I cannot control my players and the ball very well with a keyboard. But the computer will still play the same way no matter what control device I use.

This is about how much you want to enjoy the game. you can't complain the game if you never want the best way to playing it. I think WE wont be fun either if you play it with keyboard.

THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use a sidewinder

in amateur mode 8 min. each half : France - China 12-0
in professi. mode 8 min. each half : France - China 0-4

This is how it goes, a few people get the hang of it but most of us are struggling in professional for some reason. You may have found the exact timing on your headers, one timers and one on one but we havnt. Its so damn hard to figure out what to do on those long diagonal balls which my fullback never gets because he cant head them away, when he finally gets the ball the ai just robs it and there is nothing I can do about it.

ITS TOO DIFFICULT.......there should be a lvl between amateur and professional. Its no fun to either win or loose all the time....those are the choices I have..and no matter how much I try in professional I am not getting better. China keeps beating my french team in pro no matter how hard I try to change timings, team formations, strategies, different button combinations...........I ve tried everything I can think of.

This game was never tested by normal folks like me that just want a normal playable simulation. Just because you have the hang of it dont ignore the voices of the majority, something must be wrong with the difficulty since we are so many people struggling.

I ve just ended another hopeless game against china, we need a totally detailed manual with second timing instructions on how to master the most important parts of the game, not just push a button to kick........but every tiny bit of information. I ve played over 500 games and I am not getting better...........I need help and so do many people.

I am really sorry about putting France through this pain...maybe I ll start using England next.

It's not about control. It's about how the Computer plays and how the players handle the ball and run around. If the game doesn't look realistic when the Computer plays against itself how is the computer supposed to play agains tme like a real soccer team?
