those people don't know anything about soccer, and require all developers to have played every single fifa game ever made, so that they don't repeat the same dumb mistakes.....or neglect details..such as overall player rankings.....like top goal scorer of a league....or forget to put video of substitution or subsittuitions in general for AI..........also rank players according to facts..not ure own opinnions.......like if a player make it to team of year in eufa.com( which uses millions of people to rank) then that player shouldn't have under 80 ranking in the game........one more thing....commentary....this year was pefetic ........just sad....try to tie commentary to real events....why in fifa 2005 do i hear "they already won the season" ....10 games into the season....

I don't care where the game is made, but honestly, I would do a better job as the chief director than the people from 04 and 05 just because I watch soccer every damn day and I'm aware that things such as the top league scorer are important.... Whoever choses those directors should pay a bit more attention.

First off, I'm from Canada. I probably know as much or more than you or anyone else in these forums about soccer.

Secondly, the people who are employed at EA Canada ARE FROM INTERNATIONAL ORIGINS not just Canada. In fact, Danny Isaac is british. Even listen to his british accent in the demo videos.

A facilities physical location does not dictate the country of origin of the developers.

Basically, what you are saying is terribly generalised, and awefully ignorant. The game fails to get better because foreign people with your mindset are on the design team.

Canada is a country made up of international immigrants from all over the world. Many people here know lots of things about soccer that I'm sure you never knew yourself.

We may not have a great national team, but that is because our talent base is wrapped up in Hockey (which no country can seem to beat us at). The remainder of our talent sees fit to emmigrate to countries where it is a more popular sport.

And yes, commentary is terrible. The last fifa game I really played was 2004, and the commentary is almost completely the same. Sounds like a few, and i mean FEW, new lines got into the game. But since 2004 there has been Euro. An entire game, yet only a hanful of new lines made it into the game.

About the commentary....its good but they need to change the guys. Take Tyler and Gray. They r the best that i have heard. This may take a lot of effort but it would be worth it. So guys... who do u think should be the commentator/s in 2006 ?

ok good their from different origins, yeah i heard that british guy his a f looser...still..why in canada....what defies a great nation of immigrants.....u have open doors......usa is a great nation of immigrants..and i wouldn't want the game to be developed there also......plus i know its hard to design a game..but some of the mistakes are so obvious..that the only explanation is that they didn't play enough fifa themselfs..i personaly played every single fifa game ever made..............

by the way i don't know what place soccer has in canada..but as fur as i can see .....its not a top sport there in any form...hence the lack of a serious league.of any kind.....as matter of a fact....usa seems to be bigger on soccer than you..just as a comparison...

to reply....in canada...soccer is the number one played game in the country...not hockey as every assumes...we love our soccer...and it was very apparent...when our girls under 19 team made the finals...adn 65000 people packed commonwealth stadium, i dont think any other country can do that ok...also canada has one of the best tech sectors in the world, we have some of the most skilled programmers in the world...and canada has a good perspective on europe...if the game was made in one european country, i think you would see some biases...its fine the way it is....but i think if the boys had more time it would be better....if they were to skip a couple of fifas(which wont happen next year) then you will see a tremendous game....

These guys are schmucks 'please make the game out of Canada'. First of EA is a company made in canada you dont like it, make your own soccer PC game and good luck to you. Secondly The first soccer game international game Canada played was in 1885 v the US. So you thiniik we dont know soccer, we do. Weve been playing it longer than some other 'soccer countries'. Hard to swallow eh? Boy, what a stupid request!

Gentlemen don’t make this a war of words with Canada smack in the middle. Look, I have family in Canada, and they love soccer. But that is not really the point. Gamers are frustrated at the lack of creativity in the part of game developers. Not to mention the fact that the game lacks the passion some of us are accustomed to seeing on S. American stadiums.
The real question rests upon the direction in which this game is headed. In other words, it is not improving in terms of game content (animations, rewards, editing options etc). It doesn’t matter where the game is made but who is in charge of overseen development. The current FIFA series director is clueless; and I don’t care if he is British or from planet Neptune, he is obviously not listening to what all of you are saying... period...
Furthermore, I’ve said it before and I’ll keep repeating it; a lot of you could probably do a better job at overseeing game content than the current director.
