the situation explained does not affect the db limit of 2600 teams (a little less even), it is only something regarding tournaments, countries and leagues.
This mean that the db is still and will always remain the same, by decade.

Jokes aside. I will be free to add whatever I want since I have been working for free for almost 8 years. At this point, if you want things that don't interest me, I also charge a considerable amount ... 10 euros per team! 2000 euros for all 2005-10. I'm also happy with mortgages on houses .... XD

I forgot. I don't accept payments in kind or with organs ... So no kidneys.

Hi, what I am reading I greatly displease, we have an exceptional creator who devotes an enormous amount of time on this magnificent patch, which is vintage, what are you coming to take the head and energy, with your current years, there are all the Fifas of the last few years to play with the comtemporary teams, so the footix, let Giggi work, and thank him instead of begging like 7 year old kids, so thank you Giggi it's great what you do and ignore non-constructive reviews because many of us admire and revel in your work, have a nice day.

Hello, I already posted this in the National Team patch by skoczek but it applies to this patch too. First of all, once again my extreme thanks for this awesome Classic Patch! I have played the 98 WC for the past couple of weeks and I noticed a few things that bother me. But first what I posted regarding skoczek's patch:

"I just ventured into it and there's one thing that's bothering me. The same thing that's bothering me about the Classic Patch too. Why don't the matches begin with the proper national team movies/sequences? Meaning the teams stand in a row beside each other with the national anthems playing!? To me this is a vital part of getting the proper atmosphere for national team matches. And without that it's a bit of a bummer. :/

I realize that the game only contains a few national anthems but it isn't hard to add the anthems for all the other teams via the playlist feature in game. As a matter of fact, I have plenty of such anthems collected and saved as I have been using them for the Road To Fifa World Cup Patch 2014. Speaking of - here we have that proper intro sequence, during all the qualification matches too! (And even Kick-Off I believe)

So if this could be done for the RTWC patch (as well as the AFCON 2017/Modding way Mod Update 12.0) then the same should be achievable for this patch and all the other national team patches?? What IDs or settings would have to be changed?? Maybe movies folder needs to change or it's just a matter of leage or country ID. I will try around a bit via CM (so far no luck) but maybe someone has more knowledge on this already....maybe the makers of the afore mentioned patches can give some insight as they apparently know about it. Thanks!"

As for the other thing that's bothering me regarding the Classic Patch - and I can't believe that no one has caught this before?? - the commentary table seems all screwed up. First of all, there are weird entries where the surnames have been complemented with a single letter in front, like "D Sanchez" or "E Perez" instead of the just Sanches or Perez. The commentary ID may still be correct here but it is hard to assign commentary in CM when you can't rely on the alphabetical order (e.g. Sanchez not showing up under S but under D).

Also, a lot of players do not have commentary assigned to them even though it exists! I noticed this because even though I had commentary names assigned to players a lot of them did not get called during the game (using mostly Andy Townsend & Clive Tyldesley)...however, I remembered some of these name being called in the Clean versio nof Fifa as well as the EEP. Soooo - I compared the commentary db table with the one that I have for the Clean version and indeed - some IDs are wrong and a lot of names are missing!! And instead there are some new names but they don't have any actual commentary! (No matter that they haven an ID to them - because the ID are just wrong and belong to another name) What the heck happened here?

Once I deleted the faulty table and replaced it with the one from the clean version and assigned the names to the players again they now get called during the game! Because a lot of name commentary is missing - common names that are not assigned such as Sanchez,Müller,Rojas,Garcia,Kelly etc etc.!!

I went ahead and actually pasted the second table into the first (in Excel) because I first thought that the patch table had proper new names/commentary so I wanted to have them as well - but like I said it turns out these are just wrong. (Unless I'm missing something - because cleary somebody changed these names in the table??) Anyhoo - when you do a duplicates higlighting you will once again see that the patch table has improper IDs for some names.

See here for instance:



Zyryanov is the cut-off line - above Zyryanov start the names/lines for the clean version and below Zyryanov start the names/lines of the patch version. As an example you can see at the top "Aboutrika' with commentary ID 920065. This is from the clean version. Then below you find "Aboutrika" with commentary ID 920085 from the Patch version. Well, 920085 is wrong and the player does not get called his name. Once you change this to 920065 however (or rather, make this re-assignment in CM with the clean version table) the player now gets called succesfully in-game. :)

The only explanation that I have is that somebody messed with the commentary tables in DB master (or excel) and maybe accidentally erased entries in the names column but left the other entries of the lines intact. So that the cells with the IDs actualy shifted up - ending up linked with the wrong names in the name column.??

Either way, it is really a shame that such a great patch contains such a big bummer (to me at least) - because player commentary adds a lot of spice to the game and especially makes World Cups and thelike more realistic.! And there is indeed a lot of commentary that can be assigned here (proper ones but also ones that aren't exact matches but are really the same sound, e.g. Salli / Sully!. Especially with English teams (Ireland,England,USA etc.) or Spanish Teams (South American, Central America, etc). So it would be great if people could help out here. If I get to finish the 98 assignments or actually the whole 90s decade (national teams, not club! I don't play club) I will share here. But at least everyone knows about this problem now and can take care. Thanks!

p.s.: I have been adding some things to the Classic Patch for myself....I will share that too if you guys are interested. I made/added Colombia 86 and Cameroon 86 as well as Congo 98 (Brazzaville, not Kinshasa DR!!). 98 was the only time ever that Congo came very close to Qualifiying - 2nd place in their group and only 3 points short to South Africa, having beaten them in the home match 2-0. They had a lot of players from the German leagues in the squad back then (Guie-Mien,Younga-Mouhani,Rock Malonga,Tsoumou-Madza etc) which is why I paid attention to it back then (I'm German) and it was definitely a contributing factor to their strength! I also made a couple of faces for Ecuador...

For now however, let's please focus on the above issues. (Commentary + national anthem sequence) Thanks!

ps.2: Apologies if any of this has been discussed before in this thread but I don't have the time to sift through this entire thread...and as I can see these issues are still in the game (most recent version/update).

Personally I fully agree on the two points you brought up: national anthems and commentary names are crucial contributors to the atmosphere.
Call me naive but I actually do get motivated to win when I play as the Russian NT in Fifa and there is the anthem plying before the game :D
Getting the WC/Euro teams to sing their anthems would be a great achievement indeed.
Regarding commentary, I believe it has been mentioned that due to DB expansion it was once messed up and couldn't be unmessed with the knowledge we had before (hopefully your findings can lead to progress in this area) - not only players like Hernan Crespo deserve to not be called "Coleman", as well as legends like Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and Owen need their proper commentary names, but also "new" players such as Mario Fernandes (Russia 2018, 2020) or Bruno Fernandes (Portugal 2018, 2020) could easily use the "Fernandes" callname.
If I remember correctly Giggi mentioned that he plays with commentary off so it might not jump out that frequently to him, but I believe most of us players have commentary on, and if we could actually have fixed commentary names at least for the top players, that would be great indeed.

I have never been interested in the audio part because it is completely deactivated. I prefer to play (test, haven't played for years) with pink floyds or led zeppelins. The problem of callnames appeared to me already at the first modification made on the default database, even before the classic. I had fixed a few callnames but someone ignored the change and then after a day or two of heavy editing it was all wrong. So I don't hit my head ... Much better to hear Pink than Caressa saying corner kick when he is in line, or he says "attack from the right" when the ball is on the left. Or he says "Hit the pole!" when the shot also goes out of the stadium ... and above all this ... when the ball touches it Bosingwa you hear this bullshit every time.

unfortunately no. I believe the formation table is not suitable for this type of patch. It has a huge data load and tends to cause problems for no apparent reason. It freeze in loading. In fact, I test every database before every release.

if this error happens with the databases, why did you comment that you have now discovered that it is possible to add up to almost 2000 teams
