Dribbling

Dribbling. In the 3D engine. almost everyone sucks at it. Right?

Even basic ball control, top class players seem to just forget about. Just about to start dribbling with it... oooh wait damn it i just nudged it too far in front of me and i've lost it! Silly me...

At 2D they can dribble. There shouldn't be a difference between 3D and 2D since the result isn't affected by which one you watch.

I suppose it isn't just dribbling. It's just really basic ball control.

sometimes FM looks too damn scripted. 2 unmarked players in the penalty box, and my winger runs with the ball into the stands, off-the-line clearances, hitting the post 4 times in a match, constantly having 3 players out with long-term injuries, the AI scoring unreal goals with their crappiest players, goals out of failed crosses, headers from outside the box, 94' goals etc. this game makes me so sick sometimes.

The only two things that make me mad are goalkeeper assists (I don't think I have to even describe this since it happens so often), and that I can't get Wide Forwards to cut inside (they go to the byline every time no matter what the instruction). Everything else I'm fine with.

Agreed 100% with every post (except the "everything else I'm fine with", which would be a contradiction haha)... I hope the new Tactics Wizard improves things like the one Shifty mentioned...

Oh and injuries are definitely the worse for me... Just utterly unrealistic...

Just lame/too few animation( s) I think. Probably because they want to stay within a certain performance budget for the 3D engine. IF not, then it's just poor job by SI

I dunno, I've seen my wingers and fullbacks cut inside many times. I don't ask for it to happen, but they do it if the situation calls for it. I'd check if they have the hidden 'cuts inside' prefered move, just in case.

Go play FIFA Manager if you want that.

BTW, I believe the 3D engine is the same as the 2d engine only in 3d(duh!). So there shouldn't be any diffrence in the way your team plays.

Not everyone has a top-end PC, and not everyone wants their game to run slowly just so they can see some better animation. I have the actual PES/FIFA games for graphics, gameplay is what I look for in this game.

Graphics would be wasted in FM anyway. No one watches the whole game, and I certainly don't play FM because of the match day experience.

I've started watching whole matches in 2D. I've been reading some tactical guides to pass the time and it's made me realise just how complicated the tactics are, watching the entire match helps you fully grasp your tactics.
