Main thing is there is nothing wrong with the patch.

Maybe update unpacking program or something like that. Very strange to not work, I just open folder then right click on RAR file and selected unpack here.

I have had games in archive that didnt unpack properly and caused problems because WINRAR was a little ancient.

Hi kids,
I'm new to this forum so don't get upset if I'm asking questions previously asked.
First, thanks Duong for your time in trying to bring a better playing experience to Fifa10pc.

I have been playing fifapc since 1996( I think that was the first one, I still have the cd. Back than there was no cable and dsl was very new and expensive so most people were contacting each other through icq and getting each others phone numbers and connecting via modems. )) And I won my fifa 98 copy from a local competition among 10 guys living in Brooklyn. I actually went to the guys home and picked up the cd. True story.) Anyways, I have been playing fifapc since than, and I play fifapc solely for online games. I really dont care much about playing against computers. This is the year that I might change my mind and go with pes10pc. Fifa guys have no excuse about the graphics cause on the same machine pes10 graphics are about 100 times better and play without any studdering, and Fifa10 at its lowest settings play with studdering. So EA dont give us crap about looking out for guys with low end pcs. Second, I was really hoping this year that they would give us 100 percent customizable cameras(zoom all the way in-out, any camera angle and option of programming 2 or more cameras[eg. camera 1 for when the ball is in my half and camera 2 for when the balls in my opponents half automatic switch over. Because for example I defend better with tele and I finish better with end to end. I can do this by pressing camera buttons but i dont want to have to] Instead they made it worst by giving us less zoom out. I think they are getting worst and worst by the year.) So I'm going to wait for the pes10 and fifa10 to come out and get reviews from each for online play. If pes10 has fixed its online problems I'm definitely going with pes10. I know that fifa10 is better than pes10 in consoles in every way but EA should not forget that PC players paved the way for this game( just take a look at what we went through as I explained on top)

As for your patch Duong like I said thanks for even taking the time but its either me or something I don't see a difference in the game before and after patch. Maybe the patch isn't even working. Let me explain what happens I double click one of the patch versions the command prompt screen blinks for less than a second and disappears and I'm thinking its patched. But when I go to the game everything looks same(meaning the faces are dark and the pitch has same s...t lighting). Help, what am I doing wrong?

see guys, the core problem isn't in the operating system. It's how you install the thing and what's already been your game that's all. By right, what you do is that you extract the whole folder in that .rar file into a certain location, (and DO NOT shift any files inside that folder to another location), double-click a mode, wait for the cmd screen to finish processing, and you should be fine. I have no idea what could've gone wrong.

i think i may have the solution, the files worked for me perfectly but everyne please try this:

run the .bat in administrator mode ( if u ahve vista right click the bat and click run as admin, if you have xp, right click, click proerties, click ompatibility and check run as admin.

also try to disable UAC, go to msconfig, tools , and double click Disable UAC and then run the .bat

REMEMBER: TURN IT BACK ON BY CLICKING ENABLE UAC AFTER YOU HAVE DONE WHAT U NEEDED TO DO.

Local7, you have not patched anything. I experienced the same thing when the screen kind of just "blinked" or flicked instead of "running".

When you open the rar.file, extract all the contents to your desk top. The patch will now be in a form of a folder. Click on the folder and you will see the different versions of the patch. Simply click on the one that you want. It should start to "run". Once it stops running, you are done. The game has been patched. Try it.

Yes, it takes around 5 - 10 seconds to install the patch. Not a blink, so your patch didn't install at all. Just scan the file first with any anti virus, then close the virus scan or disable/pause it, then try to install again. Sometimes virus scans block this kind of stuff, especially older Kaspersky versions. Although they fixed that in Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

Hi again thanks for the advice but I still cant get it to work, I have XP pro 32 bit version. I tried different extractors but still the same thing happens, I click one of the patches and the command prompt blinks for a sec and disappears and nothing is patched. I also have fifa 09 installed on the same drive and I have a performance patch installed for that from before could that be effecting the installation??
