Is it me or is the CPU defense great at stealing the ball away? Their players also move faster and their dribbling skills are amazing when you set the game on World Class. Their defense is too good when it comes to long range shots. They have this super leg that seems to deflect anything that's in the air. I'll admit, at first I thought the move was a good addition (ie more realistic), but EVERY time they use that move the ball gets deflected. The only mistakes the defense makes are stupid ones, such as the defender moving towards the crosser in the goal box, leaving the striker wide open on the far post. It irritates the hell out of me how the CPU defenders can catch up to the fastest strikers (eg. Henry) and steal the ball without a fight. Here are some questions to EA:

- How come we can't fight back when the defender is on us? We can't jar for the ball.
- Why do the CPU players move so fast and all dribble like Ronaldinho?
- How come CPU defenders are all great defenders? You can't get by them, well maybe once in awhile, but not to the extent in real life.
- How come whenever I switch the ball my player always falls over like a little kid?

I'd like to see a nutmeg move instead of the 360 spin, which IMO is the most difficult (next to the rainbow) move to pull of in real life. 360s work in basketball, not football/soccer. If you can get Ronaldinho, Rooney, or any player in the world, why not capture them doing moves? Oh wait you have, but you made the moves impossible to pull off because the defenders NEVER GET FAKED OUT! What's the point of a fake pass/shot/lob if the CPU never bites?

Good lord and good riddance to you EA.

As Liverpool in the quarterfinals of the "English Cup" against Everton, leading 2-1, a shot takes two deflections and squirts into the goal, past Dudek and a sliding defender, for the game-tying goal at 89:36. Everton (CPU) wins 4-3 in the penalty shootout. Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh....
But I keep playing! :fool:

Two days ago, my young brasilian player i got from corinthians, Carlos Alberto, scored a goal against sttugart, taking a ball from allmost the half line, passing two defenders and scoring a beutiful goal from 10 meters to the top of net.

i think it is very possible to go pass defender if you master the turbo and the directional keys.
i saved the goal and i wish i could show it to you, but i play in PS2 so i dont think i can...

And how exactly did you expect the game to get harder when you go up difficulty levels?

If the players don't all get more skillful and simply better at what they did before, the CPU would have to truly cheat to win as in the WE/PES series - go to their forums if you want to read about blatant cheating at the higher difficulty levels with balls bouncing against the laws of physics purposely to go to a CPU players feet, or the CPU making your players not react when you press buttons just so you can't challenge for headers at corners so the CPU can score etc.

To me, the players simply get better at what they did before which is a breath of fresh air after playing We/PES where they alter the gameplay by destroying your playing ability rather than by making the CPU better.

As for the 360 being difficult - are you kidding me? With a little practice you can do it easily and I'm talking in real life, not in the game. You might not be able to do it well enough to beat a professional defender with it but the move itself and the technique is easy to get down.

ok so now that I think about it, the 360 isn't hard in real life.

The main point is that the difference between the CPU and my players speed and dribblinb skills is large. Maybe I suck, but I'd hope EA Sports would watch a match and next year work on making players more individual. What I mean is that a 70 player should play like one and a 90 player should play like one as well. The biggest thing that irks me is that I lose the ball so easily when I am running with the ball. The CPU locks arms with my guy and I can't move. I'd like to see a button that will allow you to push the other player off the ball or at least a stop-the-ball move. The game is very non-physical, yet you watch any real life game and its very physical. Most my defenders 'bounce' off the CPU strikers and then it takes them a few seconds to recover. Why? And how the heck do you do a Cruyff? The CPU does it a lot but I can't seem to do it. I did it once, but it was random.

Yeah. I know I'm complaining, but I love FIFA. I'll admit it has come a long way so I'm hopeful for 07. I just figured maybe someone at EA would read this.
