yeah and there's also this one time that i had an even weirder OFF-side call
one of my players went past all the defenders and went one on one with the goalkeeper and I had another player also running next to him (also ahead of defenders)
OK, but when i decided to make the pass to the free man the ref signaled OFFSIDE!! :jap:
the ref considered the rule of the receiver being closer to goal than last defender to be offside and forgot to aknowledge the fact that the psser is also closer to goal !!
so EA Figured out one rule and missed the exceptions :kader: disappointing

if the player receiving the pass is ahead of the ball.. means you're passing it forward is offside..

It doesn't matter cos as u can see the yellow offside line that they show in the replays is still inside his own half.

but i thought too, that if both the passer and reciever are pass all the defenders then it wouldnt be offsides.

When both the passer and receiver are infront of the last defender if the receiver is infront of the passer when the pass is played it's offside, if the receiver is coming from behind the passer then it isn't offside.

Come on, EA made a mistake. Stop backing them by giving excuse "Oh EA is trying to make the game more realistic since linesmen makes mistake."
I've still yet to see mistake made in real life from that kind of situation.
And I doubt it's that difficult to write a code to fix this since Winning Eleven/PES have got it right in this kind of situation.

The yellow line only means that's where the last defender is, the reciever of the pass could very well be past the center line at the time of the pass.

I totally agree with Straight Cadillac Pimpin... Your attacker can be somewhere near the other Keeper, outside the camera frame... Which makes it an offside!

And talking about PES 5 or Winning Eleven... I swear that I got the PES 5 and played one game, only one game, then I threw the DVD away and Uninstalled the game, and immediately played a match on Fifa 06 so that my brains don't explode...!

PES 5 is just simply "LAME"... sorry to say that PES fans... but the truth must be said...

Fifa is much better in Graphics, Realism, Game Play, Tactics, Sounds, Squads, Teams, commentary and everything... PES is a very static game... it's a football version of the game "Street Fighter", you must master moves as if they were combos...

I played Winning eleven for 2 full years, and after I tried Fifa I said one thing: "OH MY GOD, where was this game hiding"...

Anyways it's all about taste... take care people...

I play both Fifa and PES5, and I to prefer Fifa. But your statement is simply not true and it is bound to cause senseless/pointless arguements. Both games have their strenths and weaknesses and many people choose one or the other based on the weaknesses of the one they have discarded (well I did). But those weaknesses might be less important to someone else who chooses the other. It all comes down to personal choice and there is no proven fact, nor can there be that the whole of the one is greater than the other. There is no such truth, just as there is no truth that apples are better than oranges. Lets just choose our game and say 'I prefer this one' and stop putting down the people who choose the other by saying 'LAME'.

And either your a liar if you bought the DVD and said '.....I threw the DVD away and Uninstalled the game..' or you teeif' it.
