Last year I worked in GAME when FIFA was released a week after PES. A hell of a lot of people brought back PES and exchanged it for FIFA. Also in one day we made just over £17'000 on FIFA and PES made £14'000 thats a fair distance in sales between the two.

One word. Licenses.

yes you just cleared what priority EA has for their fifa games. Sell as much as copys as possible even if the quality of the end product will suffer under it.

I think all EA games like basketball , football or even (soccer) don't really care if you know anything about the rules of the game you're playin' or even if you watch it in real life before .caz the first time i ever saw basketball on tv was on my ps in nba live 2000 .
So they put as many as licenses and new moves (first touch 2005-player run 2004 -free style 2003 -super str playr ec2002 .....etc) ALL OF THAT TO COVER ONE THING

Also PES is a good game yes ive agreed on that a lot but it doesnt do everything perfectly for everyone and lots of other people prefer FIFA over PES,either it be because of the proper kits and stadiums or the way it plays.You just dont seem like a very open minded person.

To be fair mate, it's difficult to talk sensibly about Fifa when people refuse to admit how absolutely toilet it has been for the last 6 years. Is the demo of '05 promising for Fifa fans? Yes, it's an improvement.

Is it promising for PES fans? No, it's still not even in the same league as PES3, and as WE8 is another massive step up, there is no debate for most who have played both.

HAHAHA bad luck,well anyway i have played PES ive said that previously,i also said that yeah i like the game its very good and has great gameplay,just trying to explain that some poeple still prefer FIFA and 2005 is a definete improvement and is very playable and good fun to play and thats just the demo so far.

But i dont get it...why play FIFA (85% deal) when u can get the 100 % deal with PES...is it the nets or the online play...enlighten me...and why play both games?!?! Dont get that either...
