After the over-whelming success of the first EA SPORTS and Soccer Gaming Chat we conducted in our Forums, we're planning to host the second one in the upcoming weeks. This time though, I'll actually be visiting the EA Canada studios and be sitting with one of the main members of FIFA 2003 development team.

This will be an excellent opportunity to find out everything you ever wanted to know about FIFA 2003, straight from one of the guys who helped to make it. So start jotting down your questions, register in the Forums, and stay tuned for an exact time and date.

The Demo will probably be released by then they said ea-sg chat 1 was gonna happen about a month before hand, so a month from now the release will be imenant!

Heres my Question:

This year, you've focused on certain aspects of the game like improving the gameplay engine and the ai, ignoring the things you haven't made major improvements of, and those things you've disposed of, do you think that ea sports has done everything you can, to improve those things so that in future editions, ie. fifa 2004, you can relax in those area and only make minor tweaks, allowing you to focus on other things, like training mode?

OK, everyones asking "when's the demo coming out?" Well all I want to know is will I be able to have a multiplayer single system(offline) tournament like I could when FIFA2001 was around.

I really stinks that FIFA believe that people who buy their games either:

1) have no friends that they can 'see', as in non-online buddies.

2) have no friends that actually want to participate in anything more than a friendly match.

This point will be my only factor in whether or not to purchase this game.

I don't think we should ask when the demo is out, because if they want to let us know, they will let us know, and if they don't want to let us know yet, they won't tell us even if we ask them. They will just say that the details of the release dates will be available in the next few weeks....blah blah blah.

I think we should ask more technical questions, so they must at least give us something that we haven't heard before, such as:

Are there any limitations with the Windows based editor? What exactly are the features of such an editor, is it a roster editor, or is it a graphics editor? If it is a roster editor, how many players can you edit, how many teams can you edit, and can you change the related commentary (e.g. team/player names) and graphics (e.g. kits/flags/badges). Will the editor actually edit the files in which data is stored (e.g. .dbi files) or will it simply edit like in FIFA 2002 (e.g. the Fifa02 file).

I also have a very bad feeling that if we ask them what leagues are there, they will just say: This year, FIFA 2003 has all the top leagues from all over the world, which includes the excitement from the excitement of the FA Barclaycard Premiership, the Primera Liga, the Serie A, the Bundesliga and many many more leagues, including over xxx(insert number) teams, and over xxxx(insert number) licensed players......etc etc

They usually give nothing away, so we must try to squeeze some info out of them

3 questions came to my mind at the moment:

- why ea never make REAL football cinematics (with flags, squads presentation and anthems - just like in pes)

-did they fix players positioning on the pitch (in WC there was always no players to help you with the attack and when u lost the ball it appeared that also no one holds the back )

-will computer play more intelligent and agrresive (in wc they almost never fouled the opponent)

Here's several questions in no particular order:

1: What is the biggest improvement in gameplay/AI?

2: Will a more detailed Franchise Mode be present, similar to the Madden series?

3: Will there be more dynamic crowds, similar to that classic March Madness/NCAA Football duet?

4: What new features are present that make one want to buy the game over PES/WE6?

5: Licensing: Will there be proper licensing or will I have to play with #9 of Holland again?

6: Will the game emphasize club play, similar to FIFA 99?

7: How about those great Classic Teams? They were Righteous to the Marrow that is Bones! Amen.

8: Quality over quanity? Is this the new philosophy (refers to stadiums)?

9: More dynamic Transfers, Management, Life-Like Footy? Better injuries (Madden has them)? Detailed Simulation? Is this your destiny?

10: And finally, will this game be good enough for Lavan Chandran to give at least a 75 or will it stay in the 50s?

Even so, let this game come quickly Lord Jesus.
