whether he does the move as planned really depnds on other game factors, like proximity , feaisbility, and player attributes, as well as FATIGUE function...you can't always do it especially if your run is mazy, and not every player has the abiility to do this.
Hody, wish i could help you, I feel for you, trying with no luck. Its not your gamepad thats for sure.
Logically go through everything and you may come up with a solution. The problem might be the actual game flies and/or drivers..possibly your operating system is meddling with the game..check to make sure no conflicts arise.
It could be your copy of FIFA, you could go to a shop or video game store, and buy or rent a another copy of FIFA2k3 to test it(make sure the shop has a return policy so you can get your money bakck wen u return it), install it and see if that works. If it solves the problem then your copy of FIFA is faulty somehow (i doubt it but is worth a shot) return the new copy you bought, and also reutrn your first copy, ask them for a replacement becuase it doesnt function properly. either that or burrow froma friend.
Also this may sound stupid, but check to make sure you know what a special move menas, and how its executed, because you think may actually be doing it, but you are not realising it does. most of the time, the special move button makes you sprint in the direction you push the righ anlogue stick or the direction you pres the arrow keys...only in certain conditions does it do shimmies in tricks, twhen facing approaching opposition players in certain directions.
Also i noticed with my wingman cordless...the sprint button is not mapped in FIFA2k3, the same button u use for the running is also the one used for special omves, the effect this has is that random special moves may occur but more annoyingly, when you run for a while the player just stops dead.
I fixed this by simply mapping the sprint in the logitech keypad section in the in-game seetings menu to another button. what happened was that sprint was now assigned to a new button (i used R1), and "z" retained the skill move function..this was how i realised that somehow, sprint and special moves in-game was mapped to the same button.
So guys if you have the Logitch Wingman Cordless Rumble pad, and when you press the z button to run the player runs but stops, that is exactly what is happening, sprint and special moves are mapped to the same key, go to Options, setting, and find the menu for the logitech that appears in the game, go to sprint, and map it to another button that isn't used...that should solve it.
