well im here to say my opinion of world cup 2006, and here i am... i think this fifa is one copy of fifa06... only thing diferent its menus of game... but this isnt enough, im sick of these stupid copys here by here changing one simply thing and giving a stupid name to be an ilusion for persons, see this -> "play with first control!" WHY FIRST CONTROL? WE WANT A GOOD GAME, FREE OF BUGS WITH DIFFERENT THINGS AND GRAPHICS!!!! HERE BY HERE IS THE SAME THING 2004, EURO2004, 2005, CL2005, 2006, WC2006, OH MY GOD 6 GAMES?

now another thing... look at online gamers and correct fps problem... ITS AN COPY OF FIFA06... annnnnddd the bugs? LOL its equal of FIFA06 hummm andddd graphics? by this way stop playing PES5 with noname players but a good gameplaying free of bugs and automatic forms of goal!

The game is easy if you can beat World Class on FIFA 06, then 2006 World Cup is a doddle, a walk in the park! you'll get like 20+ shots on goal and not score, while the CPU will get 1 shot and prob not score now neither!! It's weird...

FIFA 07 better be next gen, because PES on current gen, is far from current gen gameplay! I'd watch your backs EA, because once Konami make next-gen GAMEPLAY with PES, you're screwed if FIFA is still playing like THIS!

Finally i hear it from someone else! I dont see any difference to the shooting bar at all!! if i hold down too much, it wont lob the keeper and give him an easy safe, instead it'll ram above the goal. Wait a minute, wasnt it the same thing before? Tapping the shot button was a low shot and holding it was powerful and high?

They just changed it to trajectory shot to say they have changed something

The only thing EA care about is getting you to buy it, they got your money now so thats all they care about They are bloody good at advertising i will give them that, they certainly know how to promote their games and make it look like they have added these "cool" features but when it comes down to the gameplay its still the same old ****.

What EA need to do i believe is start from scratch, each year they update on thier old game and add a few new things but they need to start all over to make the gameplay better.

you obviously have not played the game at all. There are major changes, if you don't see them, you are blind.

the shooting system is totally different from the previous versions. Take a low shot from outside the box in fifa 06 if you can? Yes, you can do it in Fifa World Cup because they remade the shooting system and it rocks.

the goalkeepers , the animations, the improved commentary and many bug fixes are other changes.

and another big change is the ball physics, it is getting better every time and this time it is the best of all.

I look forward to seing more major improvements in Fifa 2007.

Never got any of my money and would only give them money for RTWC98. Usually If i play any game longer than a couple of hours (7+) i go and buy as the developers deserve the money. However havent bought a single Fifa game :boohoo: What does that say...

maybe the shooting is better, but the AI is not!! i'm sick of defenders rushing me as i receive a cross, i'm sick of the "freestyle" controls being pointless, as once you beat a defender they can catch up to you anyway. i actually even liked the presentation in rtwc 06 better, instead of showing the red and green blobs in the stands (portugal crowd), why don't you show the players moving around...coaches, players mouthing the national anthem in the beginning.

ball physics still way off. pick a match from fox sports world (or any game of your choice.) watch a winger cross from one wing to another. guarantee you it is much closer in PES to accurate ball physics than Fifa. goalkeepers stand still on a break away and then rush your feet at superhuman speeds, what's up with that? where's the realism? and if you're going to go on about graphics, yeah, they are nice...sometimes. but play another next gen sports game (NBA Live (game play sucks,what's new?), NBA 2k6... Take a look at one of the videos on IGN or something...look how their jerseys move! Granted, FIFA has alot more faces and larger crowds that i'm sure take up some cpu processing, but still...

like i always say, I WANT Fifa to be good! I just feel like the money they invest in their resources (motion capture studios, etc) does not nearly do their gameplay justice. I really think they should pick a few people from these forums to kind of go in and suggest ideas and play beta versions...why not?

Instead of arbitrarily saying they have the best gameplay, why not let the people passionate about the game have a say, not some random IGN reviewer who hasn't watch a game in his life...

did you know anything about FIFA06 critical bugs? did you know how to beat most colossal players online with bad gaming experience with FPS falling down?

i dont stay happy with new pseudo-shoot technics and some words saying "TAKE A FULL EXPERIENCE WITH FIRST TOUCH CONTROL!" when these games are full of critical errors like some long range missil pass in diagonal direction croosing the field and player... puff apear alone to shoot from goal or pass the ball to rebound and score more easily <-- these things are traditional on EA to sell games full of bugs

There are improvements but I wouldnt call them major personally. Also this game is crying out for manual passing (I think all footie games should have manual unassisted passing) but they keep taking away the best things after they work. I think there is a conspiracy to not make a game we'll be satisfied with and we will keep buying. Mine is a torrent and I wont buy untill FIFA 07.

I agree! A lot of you folks here are fanatical (and I mean that in a good way of course) about soccer-gaming. If I were EA I would read these forums more carefully and select a few of you who seem to be critical of their game (and not just PES fan boys). If a company wants to improve, they should not look for help from within. All EA will find within their own ranks is people probably too afraid to be honest with the boss. That is human nature. Who wants to get their butts fired because they told the boss that he lacks creativity and vision? This is especially true in EA where problems with morale etc are quite known.

I constantly read a lot of good ideas and suggestions here, but somehow EA seems to ignore us and continues to do what ever they want. Most successful companies listen to customer input, not EA however. The only reason EA is so successful is their ability to buy the rights to exclusive licenses and kill the competition. Does anyone remember ESPN 2K5, that little game that kicked Madden’s ass so bad that EA had to monopolize football gaming in order to compete? :boohoo: :boohoo:

exaclty!!! dam u people r complaining like lil bit*hes. y do u have to complain to us?? if u hate the game so much then dont play it anymore and dont come to this forum either. if u played the game u would notice a big difference with fifa games. dam at least this game has most of the countries weve all been waiting for with the qualifications and all that. dont expect a game to be as real as real life. ive been wating four years for a game like this. not being able to play with my country but now i can and im happy for that. big improvment form 2002. this time the teams have 40 man rosters and the real players names. with the real kits too. and if its not officially liscened at least the kits still look like the real ones. the gameplay for fifa is getting better and better . this is alot better then 04 05. dam at least its improving.

Then what are the BIG changes? And talk about gameplay only not which countries are in, or face or kits. Gameplay is more important. Yes its improving but its minor changes and I suppose the big ones are for Fifa 07 which we just have to buy as well. Changes I would like to have seen is:-
you still cant change players when the ball is in the air (eg when its played long to opposition wingers), you have to wait till their forward gets it. When the ball is played long out to the CPU wingers you cant get your defender to move into a covering space, he goes on a scripted diagonal toward where the ball is going. And there is no jostling for headers, the players stand fixed to the spot and one wins and another looses the header (there is no -put the player off so he cant get a good header in like in PES, (but I am not advocating that PES is better)).
Also this is a forum for people to discuss their views and you will get differing opinions and complaints. They are not complaining to you, and if you are happy with the game, well no one should tell you you shouldnt be.

i think if they change the shooting to a combo of fifa and pes they'd have it nearly cracked its a top game and by the time the bring out fifa 07 with clubs etc they'll be pushing pes all the way

I just hope EA actaully read these forums and miss out all the bitching and listen to the good and bad points of the game

alright. well the gameplay ahs improved alot since the recent years. but after playin many games with different team like england netherland france colombia and croatia i started noticing that if u play in professional its too dam hard to make a good goal. it gets me so pissed that the only goals i make are lil pussy goals. then when the pc takes the ball out of nowhere they make this goal from a long distance hit really hard after ive been trying to do this this in the last 7 games. i just cant seem to do it. but when i play on semi pro its still hard but a lil easier. i hate it thought u can get so close to the goal keeper and then try to make a good strong shot but it always end up over the goal post. or into his hand. it really pisses me off. have u notced that the pc always makes really good goals no matter wut team actuaally almost all the goals the pc makes are far distance strong kicked shots always going to the corner that the goalie cant get too. but still theres nothin like playing this game. it can be reall addicting compared to the other fifa games.

the fifa series are terrible imitations of break-time soccer, you know the one we play with our mates for one hour before the next class. everything after the pre match load screen is utter rubish. the worlcup game should have been given to al ppl tht bought fifa 06 for free cos its like an update patch.

Yup, and I'm glad I dint pay monies for this patch. EA must be larfing. They knows in a few months time they'll be taking our monies again with Fifa 07.
