If you look at the FIFA06 database, the winners of European leagues are entered into the following year's ECC, while winners of European league cups are entered into the EFA. This should make it possible for a team to be entered into both if they win their league and the cup. However, FIFA seems to handle this situation correctly and only place the team in the ECC.
Does anyone know how FIFA06 does this? Is there a special setting in the database that "tells" FIFA to only place a team in the ECC and not both the ECC and EFA. Or this is something that is specially coded into the program?
Perhaps this is triggered by the ID of both the ECC and EFA competitions.
Does anyone have any information they can share on this?
