Editing Problem with Stadiums

I have got the big patch, the one before the 2005 evolution patch, that wolf released and I am having a few problems. I am trying to restore a couple of the stadiums to their original ones and to do this I have been changing the base files in the '0 text' or 'e text' folders. The thing is when I go to play the game it crashes just as I go start match and also when I view the stadiums in the musemn. Any ideas, by the way I am using the new patch the Konami released.
