Editing the CM database!

Hey...

Ive been editing save games in Hexadecimal for a whlie, going by tips from the SI foruns, but now have read, tested and used a new way of editing Player stats in REAL TIME using ArtMoney.

Download ArtMoney from here:
http://www.downseek.com/download/8800.asp

Now download http://www.geocities.com/gstilluk/p_stats.amt.zip into the "..\ArtMoney\Tables" directory, and rename it by getting rid of the zip from the end, so its reads "p_stats.amt" Its not actualy a zip file so dont try and open it in winzip/rar!

Now, Launch ArtMoney AND Championship Manager...

In ArtMoney, open the table (p_stats.amt) that you downloaded.

Now, in ArtMoney, search for "Sequence of Values", and choose 6 values...

Make these values (that u search for), in order the player that you want to edits: Acceleration, Set Pieces, Strength, Stamina, Pace and Jumping.

You should only get one value, but may (if unluckily other players have really similar stats) get more....Click on one of the values, then click on the word "Acceleration" in the right hand side of ArtMoney, and press "Alt-A". This will offset the values from this player into the boxes, reasdy for editing! Change what you want, and it shows up in the game (if u click on something else, then click on the player again)...
Some values will read as higher than 20, these are values rated out of 255, and take into account "Current Ability" which you cant currently edit this way. HOWEVER, whlist these are out of 255, the highest values is 120. Its offset so that 255 is somehwere in the middle, but with omst players a rating of anywhere between ~30 and 120 will give a rating of 20.

Have fun editing!

Seems like no one is really interested in an Editor, where you have to do more than 1% of the work..

This is really quite simple, and it allows u to do what heaps of people want to...Change players attributes, AND positions...

AND in real time :D

Anyway, i found mistakes in that table (which i didnt make btw) so Ive fixed it here....

Hey dude no ones really interested in changing how or where players play now customising on the other hand could catch a bit of interest...but then again we would need an actual editor....

What?

One of the Prime reasons people claim they edit, is to fix things...Things like Darius Vassell is only 17 for pace or something...so change it to 20.

Or Brett Emerton is down as a DM, but not an AM, so change him to both DM and AM....

Changing players attributes are one of the main things that i do with an editor.....

WTF, do u mean by "Customising"...Customising can be refering to anything...And frankly, this is a form of customising...

I can change a fair bit more with Hexadecimal, but this cant be done on the run, and has to be done to the save game...and Im not going into that...

hmmm

This Art Money was very powerful in TCM good to see it working in CM4 too. You could change player contracts, wages etc.

People want an editor where they don't have to be computer friendly to be able to carry out editing data.

I'm not worried at this present time for an editor. I will most probably download updates. I would edit my database from March 28th-Present, however, not by these methods.

exactly, sign of a good editor - one thats easy to use, until one of those comes along then this 'type' of editing will be only be used by about 0.5% of the current CM4 players. I am one of millions who wont be using it. I'll gladly wait a month, 2 months, 3 monhts for a good editor.

TROD.

Yeah, u have to search from Strength thru to Jumping like before, then also influence on the end...hopefully u dont get more than one result.

Its quite ironic: this way of editing is much quicker (real time like CM God), the only downfall is u have to check what a playes acceleration->jumping are before doing it...

Not much effort really...People are just scared it may take effort..when it doesnt ;)

Well there has been a new editor released now. Much more simpler than this method.

Simpler? Well if ur idea of simple, means taking less time, i definitely disagree..
Its a pre-game editor for a start. This means that if uve already started a game bad luck...Its also not "real-time" meaning u have to load the game up, etc before changes take effect.

Doing it my way, it happens IMMEDIATLEY, with the game already running..

Finally tho, from what ive read about the editor, its not for players and their attributes - just teams...so really the two cover different areas.

All the same, editing files is a dangerous way. Make one mistake, and you have yourself 1 save game down due to a corrupt file. Give it a few more days, there will be one released. GK has released a pre-game editor at SI by the looks of it. I just closed the browser window. Check the Editor/skinning forum.

hmm im pretty sure you're still not listenning...

You're editing in Real Time...if it stuffs anything up, itll just crash Championship Manager, leaving your savegame fully in tack....(and meanign championship manager isnt open, leaving u no further behind then using an editor where you have to reload the game anyway  )

Also, following instructions is just as reliable as using any third party editors...Its going on the same shared knowledge at SI forums...

Anyway, as I said, this isnt "editing files" its editing in real time so there are no files to corrupt...Ok, now im waiting for your next reason why you dont like this way of editing..Basically I think uve decided urself that there is something wrong with it...its either too risky, means too much work etc etc...When in actual fact it doesnt....

hmm
