I am an England fan and i for one dont think its the referee's fault for us losing against Portugal. We lost because we decided as soon as we scored that we would try and defend a 1 goal lead. Defending a 1 goal lead for a whole match is f*cking useless, did you see French game, exact same thing happened. I for one am not happy with the Ref's decision but he cant be blamed. If we had of played more confident attacking football we probably would of won. We have a great range of attacking players for example, Rooney, Lampard, Scholes, Owen and Beckham(although i do think he is a tad overrated).

Now for all the England fans who are blaming the Ref and using different excuses for the loss i have 3 words, Shut the F*ck up.

Good Luck to Portugal for the remainder of the Tournament.

once again ... no one is arguing which team played better on Thursday night, its blatently clear.

it's over now and Portugal are through.

Meier has seen replays of the incident and has stood by his decision ...
However at the same UEFA's refereeing committee privately admitted he got it wrong and he is almost certain to miss out on the final as a result, despite being one of UEFA's most respected officials.

Yes i know, i just wanted to get it off my chest, this is my opinion and i am entitled to it. I also think David Beckham should be stripped of his Captaincy, give it to the most consistent player and hard working player not the one who's a show pony.

Most of them are still whining about losing, though. It seems the English fans just can't accept losing and they always have an excuse for it.

beckham should not play in NT again.he shouldnt be in 11.he plays very badly.just because he can cross well, it doesnt mean he's good.he's an average player, and in this tournament he was below average.I believe that he's playing because sponsors' pressure on sven.

i dont think the talk of removing beckhams captaincy is about the game on thursday. it wont affect the result - most of this thread is about the english tryin to solve the problems in the team to make sure we qualify for wc06 interuppted by some foreigners whining about us talkin about our team
