England on the Gold Coast???????

I heard rumours that England were going to train at Queensland's Gold Coast before the World Cup started. Has anyone heard whether this is still the plan? Would love to see Ferdinand and Fowler showing off their skills close up!!!

I've heared alot of similar rumours like that, I heared that the Argentinian team and Uruguayan teams were going to train in Australia before the World Cup, but I doubt that they will.

I don't think they will come to Australia because I think that Arsehole will TRY and ruin it AGAIN like they did the Friendly game between Australia and the French!

The European clubs will forever ruin any major soccer event in Australia because their players might get tired travelling here!!!... all i can say is...

Yeah but the theory is that the Gold Coast is near Japan and Korea for the world cup, it is an english speaking country, and they could relax at a lovely resort after working their guts out on the training field.

Well, there goes my dream of seeing england players in the flesh.

The England squad will be based on Awaji Island, 45 minutes from the city of Kobe on the Japanese mainland, from 25 May.
