but if he does put crouch he only needs Beckham's right foot, so he could add another member to the midfield..which he could've done with Dyer

They need two strikers, Crouch's strength isn't scoring, it's assists. He wins flick ons and controls the ball well with his chest. He can slide a ball on to a player with pace, like Defoe, and it'd be a good chance at a goal.

Yeah ok lets play Heskey shall we? I think England should be fine rotating Rooney/Smith/Owen/Defoe

Crouch isn't gona get play time at Pool now that Torres took over. I think England had been relying from players that are bench warmers for their club way to much (Owen when at Madrid, Smith while at Man U).
No matter what they did in the past, a player falls from form if he lacks playing time.
