Enigma: Crash Issue After Reformat

A real head-scratcher here... I reformatted my PC this week, then downloaded and reinstalled FIFA 13 and FIFA 14 demo from Origin. But both games (original unedited files) now crash at the start match screen. PES 2014 runs perfectly, so what could be causing this issue with both FIFA games, anybody have any idea? Thanks.

How can it be a download issue? Origin downloaded/installed both games fully, and I was able to go into both games and poke around in the menus. The crash only happens when I try and start a game. And the odds of the same corrupted file issue with both downloaded games seem impossibly high.

As for being a registry issue, how could that be when I did a full original factory reinstall. All registry files should be properly installed and my PC be ready to play any game. FIFA was about the only thing I've installed since. Both games ran perfectly before, I've never had to deal with registry file issues in order to get FIFA 12, 13 or 14 to work.

I just thought maybe there's some additional software and/or PC updates I'm overlooking, like Net Frame 4 or something (which I installed yesterday).

i was never able to have the previous game function with the newest installed.

it is obvious something is wrong with the game files if the game is crashing after the game launches, if it crashed when you first ran it with no ability to advance to and through menus then i would say it was something else.

Really? I had 12, 13 and 14 all running on my PC up until last week. Anyway, I deleted 13, but 14 still didn't run, so I am downloading 14 again and will try that. Thanks for your help.

no problem, it can only be a handle full of things that would cause it to crash at certain points.

without being able to access your pc to see what you have going on nothing i can really do but give ideas.

I found a new driver for my video card that was just released last week, it solved the problem. Don't understand it because FIFA worked fine before with my older driver, but oh well. Thanks again.

i am about to update my card drivers too.
