This kind of behavior should be worrisome to Chelsea as well. Just imagine what's going to happen if he doesn't get the playing time he wants (a certainty) or is asked to play out of position.

If they're willing to spend that much clearly there's something special about Essien; it's not like FIFA 2005 where you can sell any of your players and find a near identical replacement for a similar, if not lower price. If there was another Essien out there for £20 million Chelsea would have bought him. Chelsea could offer Arsenal £100 million for Theirry Henry and they would be turned down; you can't replace Henry for ANY amount of money. If selling Essien doesn't fit with Lyon's plans, then they don't have to sell, even if (shocking, I know Chelsea fans) it is to Roman Abramovich.
The Jean Obi Mikel, Robinho, and now Essien sagas are deeply disturbing, and I wonder what can be done to prevent clubs like Chelsea and Madrid making players "disillusioned" with clubs they are contractually obligated to.
Look it up. He did say that, and that it would be a dream to play in Old Trafford. Then he also said his dream move would be to Chelsea. Then he said his dream manager was Arsene Wenger. Do you people see where im going with this? His dream was never to play anywhere. Rather, his dream was to get paid the most.WTF? ESSIEN SAID HE LOVED BECKHAM AND CANTONA AND NOW HE LOVE CHEL$$$KI?
