How long before players get EU passports?

I laundered money from Real to Marseille and had them buy Diego bc I have no more room at Real for non-EU players.

So either I wait for one of my non-EU players to retire or Diego gets a EU passport, whatever comes first.

Plus is there anyway to get a list of which countries are EU nations? Is this stagnant or did they take into account that some nations will be joining the EU in the near future.

on the transfer screen, on the filter, you can select EU nationality, which is very useful.

I try and buy as many talented youngsters from the club's nation as possible, and experienced ones with the same nationality, but I always end up with south americans and scandinavian guys.

I think the player can get citizenship after five years. So the player would need to be a the club or living in the same country for 5 years. I've had it with Inamoto & Akonori Nishizawa both became half english because they had been playing in England before.

I think its very hard to build a championship winning team without non-Eu players because the best hidden players on CM are generally from outside of the European Union (Tsigalko, Chun-Soo, Costanso & Nigmatullan all examples)

How many years in France bc I am using Marseille as my feeder club to Real.

I have Diego signed to a 5 yr deal. If I transfer him to Real before 5 yrs would that mean he would have to start all over to get a Spanish passport instead of a French one.

don't sign 5 year contracts:kader: After 3 years of a players contract becomes unprotected (this wasnt yet in Cm4). Just a tip btw;)

No one has yet to sign my unprotected players, well probably bc I play with Real Madrid and I pay them well.

What's the downside of signing them for 5 yrs? What happens in 3 yrs if I can't resign them at least I get money if someone signs them while they are unprotected for the additional 2 yrs.

Yeah but if someone signs ur unprotected players u still get money.

I tried to sign Adriano who is unprotected and I would have to pay over 14 million euros if successful

So signing players for 5 yrs doesn't hurt. Just try to resign them when they become unprotected if not at least u get money if someone else signs them.
