EURO 2004 v FIFA 2004

OK I've been looking through the EURO 2004 multimedia thread, and even though im impressed by the screenshots, it all looks the same as EA's latest installment, FIFA 2004. Could someone explain to me the simularities and differences in this game regarding the gameplay? And what do you think could be improved for FIFA 2005 if they used the foundation from EURO 2004?

It's very much like Fifa04 but there are a few minor changes that make gameplay a little bit better (still dismal and slow compared to PES/WE). Dribbling is better-you can actually do this unlike Fifa04. The players movements are a little more refined but the animations still take too long to complete. There are more skill moves. So yes, it has been improved but maybe not enough to justify the full price. Perhaps you should wait until they reduce the price before you buy.

-not easy get beaten. able to made some clever intercept
*it able to punch away powerful shot in 12 yards but unable to save a very slow shot at the edge of box

gameplay
-faster, more enjoyable if compare with fifa2004
*first touch was bad. player stats still not give any different, henry still able to catch up by low stats defend. player able to stop and shot by different leg at the same time while they stop ball in the air. unrealistic. set pieces are stupid, it will ask you to take direct free kick in stupid angle. corner still dumb as only 3 choices in the box you may pick. the only possible to dribble pass defend was using skill move or you lucky to run pass them. chip shot and fake shot are useless since their keeper are always stand on his line even though you break the off side trap, 1 on 1 with keeper, he still not come out

*i was sick with this 2 comentators (sorry for myself disatisfaction)

-improved, and make some long shot, low shot, cross and heading
*the defend still won't get cheated easily make you feel you are so dumb whatever you do. they just won't get cheated no matter where you turn, where you run. they are always in perfect position. differences in different level are only the speed of computer defender closing down and basically there are no different, you still may score 10-0 if you know how it works.

-better interface (have 11 starting line up in 1 screen now). player face look realistic. ball physics are great
*slow in game menu especially during making sub in game if you don't have a good specs PC. it prove that EA was using too high requirement on unecessary part. kit texture look ugly same as crowd

absolutely spot on with that mate, its frustrating still that these predefined things still play a big part in the game, but its still an improvement and I think its better than WE11 in some areas.

I'm about ready to uninstall Euro 2004. I can't get into the game like Fifa 2004.

EA improved on last years game by too much. Like with defenders being perfect, it leads to a slow game.

I'd say Fifa was more enjoyable as I played it up to the day Euro came out. I played Euro for a week or two then took a break and tried to come back to it, isn't working out too well.

both are pathetic.i guarentee you after you play the game for 1 whole tournament,you'll never feel to play the game with anxiety.

the cpu players will always have better specs than us on the pitch.this game dissapointed me,i thought that let all the fifa versions suck,maybe these world cup editions and euro ones are good.
like euro 2000 was good and fifa world cup 2002 was class,but this game feels more like fifa 2004.
