The object of futebol is to score a goal and not allow one, Greece did that, but it was one of the most boring finals of all-time. Today's final is the reason teams like Brazil, France, Spain, Argentina, Columbia and Portugal are all praised for playing attacking football.

What are you on about they didn't deserve it? They beat Portugal twice, France and the Czech Republic. Any team that does that in a tournament deserves to be champions.

They may not of out played there opponents but they out thought them, they did everything they needed to do to win the tournament and they deserve whole heartly.

They defended like dogs and They TOOK THEIR CHANCES

Maybe Merk should learn to tell time then.

I don't think anyone can argue that the time the whistle was blown was way too early, maybe if it was 9 seconds to go and Greece are taking a goalkick you can blow it, but not when a team has just begun an attempt to attack and there is 30 seconds on the clock to be played.

Well, first of all, congratulations to Greece, they deserve to win today. The greeks were more of a team than us, and if we think about it, Portugal hadn't a single goal chance.
Did the best team won? I'm sorry, but I don't think so... I think that the best team was the Czech Republic, but only Greece made the football history.

Greece was better, deserved the victory, it's a fair result...
I'm sad because I'm portuguese, I'm sorry for my people, and I'm sorry for Figo and Rui Costa.

This is not bad losing but I don't think that Greece will qualify to the WC... But who cares now? Now the greeks are celebrating, like we should.

You of all people should know that in the end it is about winning. You weren't complaining when Porto won the Champions League? Despite the final they played a very boring brand of football but it was effective. Now if Mourinho does that to Chelsea, so be it because I prefer to win and play boring then lose and play the most attractive brand known to man.

Ask the Dutch fans if they would like to see their team play a boring brand of football but win every thophy known to man.

Winning is winning, it is that simple.

Tams like Brazil, France, Spain, Argentina, Columbia and Portugal are all praised for playing attacking football..... that's coz these teams have the ability to play like that...... look at france defense this euro... they aren't that good anymore (coz of age mostly) so they have to play attack.... argentina's defense isn't solid... but their attack is awesome... etc etc...

greece on the other hand is a medium team... they played great teamwork and they won....
