I dont know about you all, but I was expecting the Czechs to throttle or at least beat the U.S. To me, they werent even all that impressive considering their goals came off of two individual performances

My vote with best performance would either be T&T holding off Sweden or, and I cant believe it hasnt been mentioned more, or at all, Croatia not backing down one inch against the Brazilians. To me that match was a moral victory for the Croats, and their fans knew it

Spain's 4-0 win might change my mind, but wait, last world cup they won 5-0 but still lose out. I thought Brazil might have a chance, but if they don't improve their teamwork, it would be unlikely. I don't know about Germany yet, I'd want to see them against a stronger side, if they could win comfortably against Sweden (perhaps) in the next round, it might just be their year. By far, I think Italy and Argentina are the most likely candidate IMO.

I'm pretty optomistic with Englands chance, however their display against Paraguay was sleep inducing, Brazil is up there aswell but they were disappointing against Croatia. You never know but I am still sticking with Engerland.

Personally I don't think Brazil will win because as witnessed yesterday, their defense can be broken down. Don't get me wrong, watching them is amazing with their attack. The skill and flow of the ball is first class.

My favorites are Italy, Argentina and Holland. I think we will see an Italy vs Argentina final. I like the style Italy plays very much so. Toni will have a huge world cup. Totti looked great for the first game back. Still waiting for key players like Gattuso and Zambrotta (He may play Saturday) to get back in.
