I had been a Fifa fan for years, I had Fifa 98, umm Fifa 2003 and 2004. I had always liked the game (as you do) because it's fun, good graphics, enjoyable and good to play against ur m8s with.
I was planning to get Fifa 05 this year, and very nearly got it but I thought i'll wait a week and read about people's experiences with Fifa 05, new reviews etc etc.
I wasnt really really impressed with what I had seen/heard about Fifa 05. I had played the demo and it felt like 04.
So I took a chance and got PES4 (3 days before release) and I loved it to pieces. It's so realistic, hard to score goals on a challenging star level like 5 stars. And the computer's AI is amazing. Yup there's bugs, like in Fifa. But I just think many fifa fans like myself are blinded by the light of PES. We dont wanna admit PES is better but seriously, have a game of it, get the demo, rent it or whatever. Or even take a chance and buy it. I don't think you'll be dissapointed.
The gameplay is excellent, the players look like the real thing (most) the licensed kits are brilliant, the pitches and stadiums look good. Everything is brilliant. I like Fifa, and always will do, but I just think everyone sees Fifa as 'the game to buy' no matter how good it is.
Everytime I walk into a gaming shop, there's people around the PES game, and like 1, 2 people on Fifa 05. Of course it's all about opinions, but I believe PES really is the game.
Seriously.... Try it... Or tell me something so bad about it that Fifa owns it on? I cant think of any.
Im not bashing fifa tho, it's still a good game and EA have made a lotta progress this year
