Which game would you play then? If they wereboth realistic, then surely they'd cancel each other out. Many people are put off by PES's adherence to realism, you can't just knock the ball about and do well. FIFA is by far the bigger franchise in terms of volume of sales, it has to appeal to a much wider audience: Some people just want to knock the ball around, in an arcade type manner. There is room for at least two different approaches to reproducing the 'beautiful game'.

If you don't like FIFA- it's simple- don't buy it!

I'm a big PES 3 fan, it's light years ahead of FIFA 2004 in terms of overall game-play and presentation. I used to love to play FIFA 2003 online, but EA's attempt to make the game more realistic has taken the 'bite' out of it.
I hope they've improved upon the dire 'OTB' control method! Playing FIFA 2004, is rather like wading through treacle. Hopefully FIFA 2005 will be a decidedly less scripted affair.

No room for an arcade-type (emphasis on the word 'type') rendition of football? I beg to differ, so too would thousands of FIFA players I would proffer.

Well, personally I think Chocolate Donuts are where it's at, sprinkles aren't my thing, and they just don't do it for me. As we all know this thread was originally entitled "what's your fav' brand on donut"? I was surprised there was no poll, but everyone seems to be tlking about FIFA. They must be confused! Yes, I want to know what the mods think of these kids changing the names of these threads, trying to confuse us older, more mature, reliable forum members, who just want to discuss Donuts and weight watchers programs. It's smart arse's like these folk that change thread names and think they can talk about some football game we've never heard of, probably by a made up company and just sit their without a guilty conscience. Well! I intend on putting an end to it, who says we make a protest?
