Exciting FIFA 2005 Article

UK's Official Playstation 2 Magazine has got its hands on FIFA 2005, and boy were they impressed.

Most would agree that FIFA 2004's gameplay is behind PES, and so does OP2-UK. But after playing a very early version of FIFA 2005 they are amazed with the progress and now have high expectations on EA Sports' upcoming game, saying:

"And with 2005 they might even get to the end of the track and produce a game that not only sells better than Pro Evolution Soccer but actually is better than the mighty PES."

haha, this is funny. everytime someone brings up an article about Fifa 2005 and how it is going to be better than Pes and how fifa is much improved this year, all ya'll fifa haters say - "thats bullsh-t, there gettin paid to say that" etc... Can't ya'll just face the fact and admit Fifa 2005 will probably be the best soccer game this year.(H)

10 some reviews don't lie. I haven't heard a bad review yet. all the reviewers say they loved the game:hump:

There HASN'T been any rewiews of fifa 2005 you silly person.
These are all prewiews which doesn't mean anything. And also, I haven't seen any rewiews of WE8 yet when there should be. Probably they'll only rewiew ProEvo when it's out.

the PREviewers still play an early version of fifa and all the previews were positive.

good healthy competition will only make both games better.

you may hate it now, but a good fifa 2005 will contribute to a great we9

just wait and the opposition will work harder to out do their opponent

you just have to wait a year to reap the benifits

Hey common-sense, why don't you go and get some common-sense?.

The game testers have played and obviously like it, but that's before they have even tested PES4, I'd love to see that preview when it happens. Bottom line is this, Fifa 2005 MIGHT, I use the word might very lighly seeing as I saw various Fifa 2004 reviews and it scored 8.5 out of ten, atleast a 7 score by most reviewers, it might be a very decent football game, but come on people get real, it don't take one year to go from miles behind PES/WE, to being much better, it's going to take longer than that.

For sure PES4/WE8 will still be known as the greatest football game ever again (as it is every year), it don't take a genius to work that one out no matter how good Fifa 2005 is shaping up to be. But I'm not saying Fifa 2005 will be poor, it might be a decent football game, but of course gameplay wise it wont be on the same level or better than PES/WE. I've seen gameplay videos of Fifa (IGN.COM) and I'm not impressed, players still look like insects and the gameplay looks exactly the same as Fifa 2004 apart from minor tweaks, but lets wait and see...

even a decent fifa 2005 (decent being not quite ass good as pes4 but very close) would beat pes in sales because of the liscenses it holds.

Well, here'a my opinion on this ''new'' video I already stated on fifa forums, but in case you don't go there.

Looks so damn arcadish once again. What are you people so pleased with?!

And answer to the question ''What's your concept of arcadish?''

1. unrealisticly fast running and passing
2. when shooting on goal ball flies like bullet no matter who shoots or what pressure is applied to attacker
3. constant succesfull stepovers and fancy dribbles by everyone on the pitch (circus)
4. goals every 30 seconds,
5. perfectly precise passes by everyone everytime
6. such a large open areas on the pitch where you can run or pass
7. stupid lame defending from both sides, there's no real pressure on attacking side whatsoever, looks like some amateur league
8. the whole pace of the game, it's too damn fast. it looks about the same pace as in EA's NHL series, but this is football you know.
If you ever watch real football matches you should've known.

Gnidrologist there was already a WE8 preview on IGN. But it's not there anymore for some reason. Probably since it's a Japanese version, they had to remove it to give way for WE8I and PES4 to avoid confusion when both of it comes out.
Anyway IGN LOVED WE8. Alot of parties which review football games will say that WE series have better gameplay.

I have a friend that had reviewed the 3 games, FIFA 2005, WE8 and PES4 and he said that this year FIFA will blow PES...

Im not even gonna waste my money on Fifa2005. I will probably have to play the game first and than buy it if I like it. Calling it better than WE8/PES4 before playing it is IDIOTIC. The same goes the other way. WE8 is a very good game. But at the moment it is not better or worse than fifa2005. ONLY TIME WILL TELL!!!!!!!!!:confused:

Maybe he have rewieved Half Life 3 either, no? So what's it like? Will it blow Doom 4 out of pants?
