Just wondering if anyone has found a way to do this (I believe it's the same in PES and PE2)

When I'm running down the wing, and am still in the area where pressing 'cross' will have a power bar (ie not reached penalty area yet) I often wish I could smack the ball across to a wide man coming in (ie.. anyone see harry kewell's goal at the weekend?)

The problem is, the ball only goes as far as the centre forward which is a real annoyance for me. Anyone know how to solve this?

What i use to throw long crosses that go all the with of the field is L1+Right Analogue Stick. It's very efective once u get the hang of it.

I think you were wrong yesterday. Ive only just got PES (for PS2) so im unsure.

In PES you can change which type of crossing you are allowed to do, the first type is similair to PE2. The last type is a "manual position" for the cross. This means you can effectively position the cross where you want. I dont think theres an equivalent in PE2

I use two methods, I don't use the right analogue stick (yet anyway). The first is the old L1+ the cross button. This just swings in the ball as a centering when you're not ahead of the penalty box. The other is just a long pass. You don't really have to face the right direction but it helps, then it's just a matter of weighting it right. I've been trying this quite a lot now and it's very effective when you get the hang of it.
