oh and to me he has more talent than Maxi Lopez, I have seen play boath and I have to say I would prefer Vuoso in my team, he can score from any angle and he creat his own goals.

I dont know about that.

The Maxi from River is way better than the Vuoso from Santos. But yeah, Vuoso is the complete package... he can dribble, shoot, header and get rid of defenders easily. When he was at City the coach said Vuoso had one of the best heads in the entire squad. And hes only 23 (Y).

Thanks Atlas. :D

Well i haven't seen Vuoso play yet, but i'll pay some attention to him. :)
We already have alot Forwards.

7. LARSSON
8. GIULY
9. ETO'O
11. MAXI

Also Dinho, Deco can play up front also.

So i suppose we could get Vuoso, if anyone has got any highlights of him that would be great.

Not sure what it says but this is what I can make up from it. Correct me if I'm wrong. Mark van Bommel and Santi Ezquerro are coming to Barca next year on free transfers. Barca are also interested in Ajax-striker Ryan Babel and Santos Laguna-striker Matías Vuoso. Babel is supposed to be costing 2 million euros. Another Ajax-player named is Urby (not "Urbi") Emanuelsson. Shocking because he still plays for the reserves. Oh, and $2 million is laughable.

Well if you guys don't know who Urby and Babel are here they are.

Name: Urby Emanuelson
Position: Defence
Number: 35
Date of birth: 16/6/1986
Height: 176 cm.
Weight: 66 kg.
Place of birth: Amsterdam

Name: Ryan Babel
Position: Attack
Number: 49
Date of birth: 19/12/1986
Height: 185 cm.
Weight: 78 kg.
Place of birth: Amsterdam

Honours

Ajax debut: Ajax - ADO Den Haag (4-0), February 01, 2004
First Goal: De Graafschap - Ajax (0-5), November 20, 2004

Barça mourns death of John Paul II

FC Barcelona has expressed its sorrow to learn of the death of His Holiness John Paul II, club member number 91,522, who departed from our world on Saturday, aged 84 years.

The Pontificate died at 9.37 pm as a result of breathing problems caused by Parkinson's Disease, which had weakened his health over the course of recent weeks.

From 1982, John Paul II was an FC Barcelona club member. On November 7, 1982, 120,000 people filled the Nou Camp to attend a mass given by the Holy Father. That day, president Josep Lluís Núñez presented the Pope with club membership card number 108,000.

It was only the second time that a Pope had visited Catalonia, the first since Adriano Vino in 1522. He was only here for one day, but a million people witnessed his short stay. He went to Montserrat in the morning, and arrived in Barcelona at midday, visiting the sick and, surrounded by massive security measures, was taken to the Sagrada Família. He then visited the Cathedral, where he was warmly received by huge crowds.

Mass at the Nou Camp

The Pope ended his day in Barcelona with a mass at the Nou Camp. He entered the stadium shortly after six o'clock in the evening. About 120,000 faithful withstood the torrential rain that fell that day to watch the event, and welcomed the Pontificate with applause and a standing ovation, to which John Paul II responded by blessing the crowd. The Pope stood on a podium in the centre of the pitch, which also sheltered him from the rain. The grass was covered by 3000 square metres of claret and yellow carpet decorated around the edges by flowers.

More than 700 sick people sat in the left section of the main stand, and were blessed by His Holiness. The heart was to the right, before whom were a thousand priests, who later took communion. The service ended with the singing of the "Virelai", an emotion-charged occasion followed by a rapturous as John Paul II left the ground.

I wouldn't get Ryan Babel...

I've seen him play several games for ajax and I don't think he's goo enough for Barça. Yes, he's young, but there are much better forwards out there...

Barça have not too much money to spend this summer, I don't think a striker comes in the summer. Larsson, Maxi, Saviola and Eto'o..

Only if Maxi is loaned out and we sell Saviola. I don't think so.

Amazing how ref gave barca a point today.

That second penalty was just :|

yes, the ref was an absolute disaster.

He was very bad for both teams, although it's true that the worst part was for Betis with the ridiculous 2nd penalty. Betis deserved to win the match.

it's the same ref that didn't see the arango-navarro incident one match ago. instead of being punished for it, he got the Barça-Betis.

attention to the ref for the Bernabeu next week. Another ref with no experience.

we're trying to sing a winger who plays on he right.

According to catalan Tv we have made an offer for Joaquin. We give Riquelme + some money for him.

Asked about this Laporta has said that "nothing is sure. Now it's not the moment to talk about this"

Let's see what happens ...

Just returned from Barcelona a few hours ago, my first game ever to be seen at camp nou and i've never experienced anything like it. Totally worth the €82 I paid for the tickets!

Also caught the second half of what I belive was players around 17-18 years game on the smaller stadium next to Camp Nou. And I can confirm that Barca got some great talents on the way.

For everyone that has not yet visited Camp Nou, save some money and go, GO GOD DAMN IT, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There are better days, I promise.

I don't think the atmosphere was that great yesterday, but I'm happy you enjoyed it

about all these transfers, i really really hope we don't get more forwards over the summer. our striking lineup honestly does not need to be reinforced. having too many forwards creates what happens in real madrid, where there are sooo many people fighting for 2 spots. i don't want that, it creates tension in the team. i would like to see maybe a defender and a winger, but i don't think we need to spend too much this summer.

SuRFy

Well These 3 i would like, VB, Milito and Joaquin, i think that's all we need remember most likely Gerard and Albertini are leaving.

Here are some info that i've found on the net. :D

Betis ace Joaquin slams ref Zamorano: He robbed us

Real Betis star Joaquin slammed ref Alfonso Pino Zamorano after Sunday's 3-3 draw at Barcelona.

Pino Zamorano sent off Betis defender David Rivas and awarded Barca two penalties during the game. Joaquin blasted: "The referee has robbed us in front of our face.

"The second penalty was never there. The referee could never have seen it because he was blocked by all the players.

"The referee is the answer to why this game finished a draw."

Teammate Juanito added: "I don't think he has the ability to be in charge of games like these. It's easier to whistle in favour of Barcelona than a team like Betis."

Barcelona sound out Bilbao wing-back Del Horno

Barcelona are chasing Athletic Bilbao wing-back Asier del Horno.

The Spanish international is a target for Chelsea and Real Madrid and Bilbao president Fernando Lamikiz has confirmed he is ready to listen to offers for the defender.

Barca are eyeing Del Horno with Brazil international left-back Sylvinho's future at the Nou Camp in doubt due to his injury-plagued first season.

Barca sports chief Txiki Begiristain has already held talks with Bilbao directors and Del Horno's agent, Jokin Bárcena, about the 24 year-old's intentions at the end of this season.

Bilbao striker Ezquerro: No Barcelona agreement

Athletic Bilbao striker Santi Ezquerro has denied reports he's agreed a pre-contract with Barcelona.

Ezquerro is off contract in the summer and being courted by several Liga clubs, including Barcelona, Valencia and Deportivo La Coruna.

"On Saturday they called me by telephone to warn me about all this," said Ezquerro. "I have decided to again repeat, just like I've said before. It is a lie. I have not signed anything nor agreed to with anybody."

He added: "My priority remains to stay here next season." <----------- Thank god for that. :D

Well imo, i hoped Betis won they fully deserved to and should've had the 3 points, and that would've put some pressure on RM.
