.... huh
easy question.
FA Cup rules !!
we need both cups ... but you can ask anyone which one they'd rather win >>> FA Cup no doubt

the Cup is such a tradition in England, was there even b4 the league

FA Cup by a mile. The Worthington 'Worthless' Cup has none of the sparkle of the FA Cup.

Although they both yield a Uefa Cup place these days there's little question as to which is more important.

The FA Cup is certainly the more prestigious trophy. The Worthington Cup would count towards a domestic treble.

Of course, 2 teams still have the possibiity of winning the quadruple - the Premiership, FA Cup, Worthington Cup and European trophy - Man U and Liverpool. Realsitically, Liverpool are highly unlikely to win the Premiership but it's all there for Manu U.

Yep the FA cup does rule, so unpredictable, great entertainment, and a nice looking throphy for the cabinet!

There aree actually 5 throphys a year (6 or 7 for some) that english teams can win

Two of which are already won, Arsenal with the community shield, and Fulham with the Intertoto.

League
FA Cup
Champions' League
Worthless Cup
Community Shield
UEFA Cup
Intertoto

Between FA Cup and Worthington 'Worthless' Cup, anyone would rather have the FA Cup.

BTW: Arsenal can win the Quadruple, Shield - League - FA Cup - CL

It is now called the FA McDonald's Community Shield as of this season.

And a team cannot win the Champions League and Uefa Cup in the same season. I know you knew that, Ljungberg08, but I just like to point it out to somebody who might not.

Intertoto Cup doesn't have a clear winner, because the there are three finals.

InterToto, Community Shield and the European Super Cup are all pointless trophies so a lot of teams don't bother with it.

But Premiership sides aren't allowed to play in the LDV Vans Trophy, though, in the same way that they can't enter the Coppa Italia.

FA Cup is better, but the Worthington Cup is a good prize for the smaller teams i.e, Man Utd and Liverpool.

Not strictly speaking true.

West Ham United won't ever be allowed to play in the Coppa Italia because they are not an Italian team. But they will probably be playing in the LDV Vans Trophy in season 2004/5 :D
