Face making tips

Hi all, Ive seen a lot of tutorials on how to create faces but they only cover the texture procedure. I would like to have a good tutorial on how to edit the 3d model with oedit. Ive seen great faces around the forum and I think that there is a great model edit behind to make them look like they do.

I will appreciate suggestions on this very important step of face making.

Thanks.

One tip i could give is, that you have to work symmetrical in Oedit, that means, if you edit one eye to be more round for example, you have to do the second eye at the same time. E.g. you move one point of right eye to the right, then you move that point of left eye to left to keep the symmetry. etc..

In UV Map Editor you only can "map" the texture, so you cant change the 3d model, only the position of the texture. Here it helps a lot, if you compare with a original face ingame with the original bmp. So you can see, which points belong to eye, noise, mouth etc..

Thanks but how do you use this symetrical option so that you can move both sides at the same time

Thanks again.

There is no symmetrical option in oedit, you have to move the points by yourself. That was only a hint, you dont have to be symmetrical but only a tip to get proper looking faces.
