Fake Penalties

I just got fifa yesterday and started career with San Jose Earthquakes and number 1 in board , i already have had 16 penalties and guess wat:

The penalties are not easy but 16 of the 16 miss is really bad...

i think ive had like 10 maybe and i scored 7.

aim left and just before u press the shoot button aim right that will send the keeper to the right and u will score

Hahaha.... best place is the middle of goal. That's right. It's almost like 9/10 times that it will fly in. Go try it out if you dont believe me, you dont need top corner to score in this game.

... I hate the penalties as well... the goalie saves it about 40-50% of the time, which is too much...
at first the goalie saved my first 6 penalties!
I was so choked!
but I think it's because I wasn't holding the shoot button long enough... when i started using more power I had more success but it's still frustrating when it seems like the keeper is looking over your shoulder, watching which direction you're gonna shoot!

the idea is to aim at a direction bt quickly change it just before the shot to mislead the AI into thinking you are shooting that way. i do that and 95% of the time i score. --Ash

Yes I have found that the wiggling the stick before you shoot thing helps. However as has also been mentioned it's important that you charge the shot meter as much as possible without going in the red. If you do that you will likely be able to beat the keeper even if he goes the right way.

Cayenne is right.

Aim straight at the keeper, u'll score 90% of the time.

Valencia CF is right (at least I think he is). I usually always score on penalties if I aim to the left or right then just as I shot I aim to the middle. 90% of the time the keeper does his little fall-over and misses the ball.

Now when you are the keeper defending a penalty here is what I am working on. Notice that the CPU striker twitches just before he shoots. If there is not much twitch then he is shooting straight. If not then it is likely that it is going to the sides. Now it is hard to tell how much twitch there is (and it might only happen on the PC version) but I am sure there must be a way to read the striker before he strikes. Still working on this but if anyone else has some ideas please post them.

I don't do any quick aiming and i score all of my penalties, i think i've had onlt one saved penalty of like to 20 i've taken, all you do is aim one way first then aim another way and shoot.

Just press left or right, and just before you press the shoot button, let go and hit it in the middle.

you dont even need to do that! just aim at one of the bottom corners, charge your bar up to about 3/4 yellow and release- keeper never even moves to save the shot. looks a little poxy but never fails
