I met Craig Nelson, who was Falkirk's keeper when they got to the Scottish Cup Final and goalkeeper for Ayr United when they reached the final in 2002. :)

He isn't famour right now, but I believe he'll play for Scotland in the future, I met Stewart Kean (plays for St Mirren) three times and I've got four autographs :)
He remembered me the third time though.

Russel Latapy too, though I never actually went up to him.

I m really interested in it.
Is that the USA Tour ??? Whose autographs did u get???

I m sooooooo jealous and interested...

Did the players stay after the training and come and sign for all of u?
Manchester United are coming to Hong Kong on 23/7/2005, i hope they will sign autograph for us if i have the chance to go to the training session.

Besides watching 80% of the Académica ( Historical tradicional Superliga club) games in the stadium, i also see the players occasionally around the city of Coimbra (José Castro almost every week, Dário who is our most influencial player, Paulo Adriano, José António, Pedro Roma, Rocha (played all his life in the club and who is currently in the medical staff since he finished his degree) and many other but mostly the portuguese players).
I´ve also "met" (got their autograph) a couple of portuguese Nt players (Fernando Couto and Rui Costa) in a friendly they played in Coimbra last year against Sweden.
In the summer, you can also see alot of english players in Algarve (from Scholes to Anderton) but the funniest was when i saw Wayne Bridge completely drunk in Albufeira. Great role model :D (H)

everyone who was there signed autographs it would have been impossible to get everyone though. i got all the players i listed above. it was the usa tour vs bayern munich in chicago. it was only after the training session not the game, i got a few before the game like giggs, tim howard etc. since they didnt play. i have pics of rio, keane, giggs etc signing for me too.

It's a lot easier when you live close to the stadium.

I live 15 minutes from Highbury, so I se palyers after matches.

I remember a member talked about Stoichkov here, now i know thats you :p
U said he was very unfriendly, right? did he sign autograph for fans??

My cousin flew with Sotichkov during his glory Braça years. He (Hristo) had a reputation of being the complete asshole back then, but my cousin said he was super friendly, patiently handing out autographs to everybody and chatting in a kind manner. There you go.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Bruno Alves (on loan from FC Porto to AEK Athens, Portugal's U21 NT), who dated my gf's sister, so I got to know him, of course.

Met and know a good few footballers, ranging from the likes of Pele to Robbie Neilson (:D) but the nicest I've met is Sir Stanley Matthews. True gentleman in every sense of the word. I even had a discussion about football past and present with him, and being a 9 year old psuedo-statto it was amazing, talking about his FA Cup win with Blackpool at age 50 and various Scotland - England internationals. Never mind the fact his meal got cold! Utter legend. (Y)

A friend of mine(from Ireland) came back home from London on the same flight as Robbie Keane and Damien Duff a couple weeks ago before the last set of International games.

He said that he talked to them and got their autographs.
