Favorite win over your arch rivals

Thought it would be a good thread. Just list teams you hate/ or are rivals with and what was your sweetest win over them that you celebrate till this day.

Here is a list of the teams I hate
1) New York Knicks

Teams I dont hate but are strong rivals (in order from most to least)
1) Brazil
2) Argentina
3) Penarol
4) Paraguay
5) Mexico
6) Australia

Ill only talk about the most incredible games I experienced with the rivalries.

1) Brazil- One I still celebrate till today was the 95 Copa America Final. Also the 1-0 in 2001, the 1-1 tie and the 3-3 tie this year was just sweet. Theyll never get rid of us :p (1950 forever)

2) Australia- I dont know about the Aussies but for them going to the world cup was "Big" but for us not going was literally the end of football in Uruguay. That game was just life or death. When we lost the first game, I just remember this incredible hatred since we were about to lose after almost 3 years of qualifyers. I just remember this kid holding an Australia scarf screaming when (Viduka?) scored the PK and wanted to die. I remember both nations were literally at War. I would still be in therapy if we had lost in Montevideo. I didnt eat the entire day I was so nervous.

I remember how bad it got in the press as each nation was criticizing the other (Calling each other "Savages" and "Kangaroos" :funny: ). it was rediculous. That game I swear I screamed all 3 goals like we had just won the world cup. Pure adrenaline.

3) Paraguay- The win in November this year was unforgetable.

4) New York Knicks- Beating the Knicks in the 2001 playoffs (game 5 in New York) was the best moments as a Raptor fan for me.

5) Penarol- By far the 2 comebacks last year. Down 1-0 and win 2-1 in last second.....and down 2-0 and win 3-2 with 20 minutes to go.

I support Atlético Paranaense.

I hate:
Coritiba
Fluminense

And I dislike:
Paraná

1) One of the greatest moments I remember against Coritiba was when we beat them 1-3 in the Libertadores qualifying 1999 (for the Libertadores 2000, when we beat Nacional at Montevideo 1-3 :rockman: ). This qualifying only happened in 1999, and it was like the uruguayan Liguilla.

2) It was really nice to beat Fluminense 2-1 and run for the title in 2001. By that time the brazilian league had playoffs, and until the finals the teams would face each other only once. Although the 4-2 against São Caetano was fundamental for us to be the champions, it wasn't as sweet as beating Fluminense for me.

3) I guess one of the best moments in the history of matches against Paraná was a 6-1 in the Paraná State League 2002 finals. Paraná isn't a respectable team, but a derby is always a derby. Man, what a match it was... Kléber (today at América from México) was really inspired.

Waits for Roma fans to post the 4-0 vs Juve followed by the Totti pic ... Guess what... Juve aren't your rivals.... Cagliari are. ;)

as for Juve ...well well well...

1997 - AC MILAN 1-6 JUVENTUS

Ubik Valis

Croatian Viking
Haha, yeah I actually remember watching that game.....but I somehow convinced myself that it was just a dream or something, cause I haven't had the opportunity to watch a Serie A match pretty much since then. :(

Haha, but that result didn't change anything. You'd already won the league. So winning the league at The Theater of Shattered Dreams was much nicer :D

It was a tough hoice though between 2-0 at Anfield (won the league on goal difference in teh last minute and winning the league at ****e hart lane

I hate:
Kilmarnock
Rangers

The best victory over Kilmarnock was 3-0 in the Scottish Cup in 1998/99. Andy Lyons opened the scoring and Andy Walker scored two penalties. The first Walker penalty was just your average penalty but the second one was more memorable.

Walker placed the ball on the line and it was wondered if he would try the same thing and the keeper thoght so, he dived the same way as the last penalty went, Walker chipped it over him.:rockman:

The best victory over Rangers was a 2-1 win in front of 25,000 at Somerset Park. Cutty Young and Carlos*ie Ferguson scored for Ayr. Afterwards, Rangers player Jim Baxter commented "Your bonus will be a fish supper". Classic (H)

Last year's champions league semi-final:

Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal

HELL YEA :rockman: and it was so sweet doing it at Highbury too :D :D :D :D

I loved the 4-2 win over Arsenal this year at Highbury. The 2-0 victory was really good too at Old Trafford, watching it in a pub while living it up in Greece, with split Arsenal and Man Utd fans drinking in the bar, and standing up cheering overly both times they scored to annoy the Arsenal fans, they musta felt bad (H) I feel a deeper rivalry with Arsenal than Liverpool because of how long ive been supporting them, and i know a lot more Arsenal fans, so the victorys mean more.
