I compared their situations and that started from your crappy argument that Bartra is poor because he'll be available for 10. I extended that argument to Thiago who is clearly a more valuable player. Of course our board is dumb, I think every Barça fan already agreed to that, but that doesn't make your argument less stupid.

That wasn't what I said. I was referring to his lack of minutes (especially considering Mathieu's plentitude of them) as a supporting argument, alongside my critique of him as a player. You tried to latch onto one aspect of that and ridicule it in the hope that it discredits the entire argument. Bartra is poor because he's poor. The fact that he's now available for 10m just goes on to show that your management clearly think the same.

What? Again, why are you still bringing up Thiago? It has no bearing on whether Bartra is any good or not. We already know Thiago is excellent. Thiago did not have a 30 year old 3rd stringer getting double his minutes. The point isn't that Bartra is being sold for less than you might think he's worth, the point is that that is the case because he didn't get minutes. It's the minutes he got that I am using to support my claim, not his potential transfer fee.

Perhaps I was wrong, maybe you are like Xaviesta. Although at least you actually argue so perhaps the comparison is unfair.

"Guy you paid 20m for" is not a defense for not playing someone who is better. Bartra is not better, hence he doesn't play. I'm sure Thiago wanted to stay too, until he realised Barca were not going to play him.
